Hi there! Hope you are well? Today's creations are partly the fruit of a crafternoon with my mum on Tuesday and partly an evening by myself in my attic. Here's what I made:
Both tags are clearly inspired by my visit to see Hels Sheridan demonstrating at Inspirations in Preston last week. Both use kraft size 8 tags covered with bookprint then altered. The top tag was also run through an embossing folder by Darice to get the hexagons. The top tag was built up using worn lipstick and tumbled glass DI with a little teadye at the edges. The bottom one was covered with spiced marmalade distress stain then I used spiced marmalade, crushed olive and wild honey plus black soot DI on the botton piece. Both use spritz and flick techniques. The top tag also used the stencil from 'that special touch' - Ali Reeve - you know what I mean - and I used black embossing paste which I left to dry naturally then added treasure gold to the flowers and leaves. The butterfly /dragon fly were stamped onto bookprint stuck to studio 490 flexible film - black. These were then heated and molded to shape and pearls added later.
My bottom tag is my entry for the tattered florals challenge at Tim Holtz blog. Hope I'm in time! It used the tattered florals that I used to cut the studio 490 flexible film stuck to bookprint then coloured with DI.
So I'd like to enter the first tag into the following challenges:
LEJlejdesignschallengeblog: Things with wings
Cupcakecupcakecraftchallenges: Only words
Polkadoodlepolkadoodle: Distressing
Sunday Stamperpinkleart - brand new (embossing paste, stencil, studio 490 film)

And the second tag into these challenges:
Papertake weeklypapertakeweekly 1,2,3 - 1 butterfly, 2 backing layers, 3 flowers.
