Girly Christmas

Good morning to all my lovely friends and followers out in blogland. I hope you are well and enjoying half term - if it is half term for you or yours!!! We had a lovely day yesterday out at a farm in Fleetwood where we met this rather handsome pig!!!!

He was just popping up to say hello in this picture!!!! The farm has a Halloween inspired session in the afternoon so the girls went dressed the part and Lucy was very excited to win the fancy dress competition - but only Penny was brave enough to enter the terror tunnels! Thanks to my mum for coming along and keeping us all happy!

Anyway - onto todays card - which is girly and pink and involved a mega punching session!

I've used a round card and a half and folded on back to create an easel. I've used a martha stewart punch all over the page snowflake punch and also border snowflake punch plus a single snowflake punch which I thin was dovecraft. The image is, or course, LOTV - and she has been coloured with promarkers with glitter added. The wooden snowflakes are from Crafty Emblies. The kraft paper is LOTV and the sentiment is HunkyDory. I know its a bit busy - but I like it!!!!!

I'd like to enter my card for the following challenges:

liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge: Girly Christmas
Whoopsi Daisycutedaisymay: Punch it out
OSATTonestitchatatimechallenge: Christmas

polkadoodle: Christmas and Kraft
CACBcraftyannschallengeblog: Christmas
willowsketchiechallenge: Christmas

My Lucy has been making a halloween card too that she wanted me to put on my blog - she's used a scrapbook stamp society digi and stampin up set of Halloween stamps! Didn't she do well!!!!

That's all for today - I hope you have a good one and thankyou for visiting.

DT Post for Seems a little sketchy: Sketch 25

Hi there!I hope you had a good weekend. Yesterday was a washout here but I've got high hopes for today - I'm taking my girls off for some Halloween fun at a farm near Fleetwood - hopefully it's going to be good.

Today I'm hoping you'll all be wanting to join in the latest challenge for seems a little sketchy - here's the sketch -

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo - the prize will be detailed on the SALS blog site which is here.

For my card I've used the Bugaboo image called Ladybird Stack which you can get here.

I think its one of those fabulous images that cuts across the genders and age groups!

The colouring in was done by promarkers and the the border punch is a martha stewart.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

addicted-to-stamps-challenge: Things with wings
totallygorjuss Things with wings
paperplaychallenges butterflies, bees and things with wings
craftycatzweeklychallenge Male card.

I've got a couple of giveaways to flag up now - in case you've missed them - at the ribbongirls they're having a £15 giveaway for one lucky winner to spend in their store - they've got lots of new delicious looking products that the voucher would be fab to put towards buying!

And Nat at  NGCARDS is having a candy to coincide with a DT call at Creative inspirations - the deets are here
It looks really good - and if you haven't seen Nat's work you're in for a treat - she's fabulous!

Hope you'll look into these and also the SALS challenge! Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Feeling Blue

Hi there! Hope you are all well and happy and had the same weather that we had yesterday - it was one of those very cold, crisp blue sky days of autumn - and it inspired this card - well the colour of it anyway - not the image - that was chosen to go with the wet, wet, wet theme over at the Sugar bowl this fortnight!!!!

The stamp is clearly a Gorjuss girl - and the die is a spellbinders - I had to borrow my mums to do this - mine is in santas sack!!!! Then the pearls were in a mixed pack - love them - the image was coloured with promarkers. The papers are Tim Holtz distress pad - and the bow was from my stash.I've distressed the edges of the paper with a distressing tool.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

The sugar bowl sugarbowlblog- Jenny's sketch plus wet wet wet.
happycamperscc: Shabby Chic
stampinfortheweekend- anything goes.
 glitternsparklechallengeblog: Monochrome

I'd also like to pass on the news to you that Hazel of the Craftyhazelnut Christmas challenge is starting up a new monthly challenge in January and to herald this she's having some Christmas candy.

Here's the link http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/introducing-craftyhazelnuts-christmas.html - hope you'll join in!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting - I hope to see you again soon! Bye for now!

Halloween - and half term!

Hi there to all of my crafty buddies! I hope you are well and enjoying the start of your weekend - mine is looking busy today with a kids party in the middle but not much planned for tomorrow so hopefully we'll get chance to relax a little.

Yesterday was the first day of the holidays - and my little munchkins both made a card for the CYPKids Fall challenge - so here they are:

The top one is by Penny who is just 4, and the bottom one by Lucy who is 6. Both of the images came from a win over at the Poodles Parlour - thanks for that!!!! They both coloured their images with regular felt tips, I cut them out and then they made their cards up with Penny doing a little embossing and Lucy choosing patterned paper. I think they've done really well.

These are both being entered into the CYP kidscypkidscrafts Fall challenge.

My offering for today is my final Halloween card - and this is an invitation card I made up quite a while ago - Its strange that I will be attening a party at these times at our village school - should be fun!!!!!

The digis I have used are both by Morgan Fitzsimmons  called Halloween7 and Halloween 11 from the scrapbook stamp society and you can get them here and here.

I would like to enter my Halloween invitation into the following challenges:

autumn dreams

Good morning to you all in blogland. I hope you are fit and well and ready for a new day! This is my last day of 'freedom' before the school holidays begin - so should I be a bit quiet next week you'll know what's taking my time up!!!!

I've made today's card using an image called Gardenia  by Mitzi-SatoWiuff from the scrapbook stamp society. You can get the image here. I think she's another stunner - and I've got a few more to colour up over the holidays so I'm looking forward to making them into cards too and sharing them here.

So the image is coloured with promarkers and I've added liquid pearls as the bubbles. I've used some ribbon and charms that I got from the win on the housemouse bloghop and the sentiment I think is kanban. The papers were freebies in a stack from cardmaking and papercraft - they were raspberry road papers I think.I've used some brown and gold papers also and folded them to create a teabag style rosette too.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

ribbongirls Autumn colours
dccfriendschallenges: Autumn
 onestitchatatimechallengeUse a digi

The Great Punkin

Good morning all! I hope you are feeling well and happy! A few weeks ago I got an email from Tammy at dudetimedoodles asking if I wanted to join in this weeks challenge as a sort of GDT - of course I said yes - and this is what I made with the image supplied:

So the image is called  The Great punkin and can be found at Dude time doodles shop here. I've added wooden shapes from crafty emblies that I've stained black with black soot distress stain. The image has been coloured with promarkers and I've cut the image with a spelbinders die and distressed the edges whilst it was still in the die using broken china DI. The background papers are from Bearly Mine designs.

I'd like to enter my card for the following challenges:

Gracie's card

Good morning - I'm late today! Sorry about that! A combination of a power cut yesterday and a guiding meeting last night! Keeps life interesting doesn't it! I hope you are all fit and well and thanks for popping by!

Today I've got a card to share with you that I have made for my friend Michelle's daughter Gracie who will be three at the weekend. She's just started 'tutu time' at the ballet classes that my girls go to - so I had to choose this image from LOTV:

I've coloured the image using promarkers and cut her out and mounted her onto a mat cut using a spellbinders die. The flowers on the left were made using spellspinders bitty blosson dies and the one on the right is a WOC flower. The layout is a sketch from Willow sketchie.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

More Halloween Mischief!

Good morning all in blogland! I hope you are fine and well rested after the weekend? We had a busy old time with a nearly new sale, a trip to the opticians, a Halloween birthday party and a trip to the zoo! Fabulous weekend weather wise up here - its just been gorgeous. Befoire I show you my card I took a few pictures of my kiddlypops before they went to their birthday party - I painted their faces for them and they both dressed up as witches:

Don't they look adorable? Is that the right word? Not sure! Anyway - Lucy said she was a good witch - hence the pink colour and Penny said she was a wicked witch - and so the green!

Anyway - onto my card - I've used an image from the scrapbook stamp society Eleanor and Pickles range by Heather Valentin and this one is called magical flight and is available here.

I've coloured the image in promarkers and cut her out and mounted her against a full moon shape mounted on some papers from bearly mine. The greeting is made using Clarity stamp letters and box stamps. The inside of the box is coloured with first and second generation wild plum adirondack ink and the card has been distresses around the edges using black soot DI.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
scrapbookstampsocietychallengeblog: Black
simonsaysstampschallenge: Eerie Inspiration Mine is mostly form the picture in the top left corner.

Morning lovelies! Its Sunday and that can only mean one thing! Time for another challenge at the crafty pad!
The theme this week is Use an animal. The details of the challenge are here on the crafty pad blog - there are two prizes this work courtesy of  Creative craft world (£5 voucher) and Letraset (pack of muted tone promarkers).

I've chosen to use Holly and Harvey mice with Mistletoe on my card - they're available here.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
totallypapercrafts: Christmas
jinglebellesrock: Creature Feature
cutecardthursday: Got glitter
abcchristmaschallenge: U is for up to you
totallygorjuss: bling it on
thepapershelter Charming

christmascardchallengess: Bows

I'm also excited to tell you I was given two blog awards yesterday from the lovely Lyndsay over at craftymonster81. Thank you so much Lyndsay - I'm thrilled to recieve them both:

Both of these awards come with some rules:
  1. I am to publicly thank the people who gave them to me.
  2. I am to share some information about myself
  3. I am to nominate some of my favorite blogs
  4. I am to comment on their blogs to let them know I’ve awarded them.

The One Lovely Blog award asks me to share 7 facts about myself while the Sunshine Award has some specific questions for me to answer. The Sunshine Award questions will effectively cover the 7 facts about me.

  • Favorite color: Red
  • Favorite animal: probably pandas, but I love all animals
  • Favorite number: 8
  • Favorite drink: a nice glass of Shiraz
  • Facebook or Twitter: Facebook i can't do the tweet thing too!
  • Good book or good movie: I'm not very good at sitting still for either to be honest - if I didn't have anything else around I would probably choose the book!
  • Giving or getting gifts: Giving - I love doing all the Christmas shopping and thinking about what to get people - I do love getting gifts too though!
  • My passion: crafting! And my family - and I do love a good run!
  • Favorite day: Most days are good!
  • Favorite flower: I love so many - gerberas, daffodils, tulips, sunflowers, poppies, need I go on?

So now I have to nominate 3 people to get these awards which is always tricky because there are so many talented and lovely  bloggers out there, but here are the people I have chosen for this one,
anne at bollyanne

I hope its not too much trouble for you to get these awards - Elaine I know you're not well so I fully understand if you don't feel up to accepting it hun!

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!  See you all again soon and thanks for visiting today! Hugs Rachel xx

Here's my card:  I've used the Eleanor and pickles spookies digi by Heather Valentin that you can get here. I've also used wooden bats and cats from crafty emblies and the letter stamps by clarity plus the pumpkins from stampin up.
The papers are from Bearly Mine. The image was coloured with pro markers.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

sparklesforumchallenges: Halloween
audsentimentschallengeblog: Halloween
