Cards from IndigoBlu show

Hello my lovelies! I have had a wonderful day - with the beautiful Tracy Easson - more of that in another post. Today I want to share with you some of my makes from the IndigoBlu show on Tuesday - the stamps included two fabulous hares - one in a car and one in a plane and also a set of sayings that seemed to cause quite a lot of hilarity!

This one I used the A5 specialist paper and covered it with hunter green paint and once dry stamped the map-background-a6-red-rubber-stamp all over the paper. Next I added a square of the specialist paper and then the fussy cut hare and car stamp and the sentiment that comes with it.

For this card I first painted the background with made-em-blush-metallic pink paint then using the stencil floral-fantasy-6-x-6 and marshmallow paint I completed the background. I also added one of the sayings and also boadicea-a5-red-rubber-stamp.

I used the papers again on this one and painted the background roughly using my fingers and white gesso plus steam whistle and coastal walk paints. Then I added the stamped hare and plane image and the words that came with it.

Finally another of the new sentiments teamed up with 'lost in benidorm.!

More soon from the show!

Hope you've had a great day!

Trees at CCC

Hello there! How are you today? I hope you are well. I have been rather busy with end of term activities so apologies for my lack of input recently - the computer has been the last thing I have wanted to do at the end of the evening!
Today I want to share with you some cards I made for the latest CCC challenge - the theme this fortnight ws trees and this is what I have made:

For these first two I used gold paint through a Tim Holtz stencil then added a tando tree that I had covered with gold paint....

These two both used IndigoBlu stamps - I did them both the same way - white embossing powder onto stamped image in versamark then simply outlined in black pen.

4 very quick and simple cards from me this time - here are my mums.

This one used chloe stamps...

and this one is paperartsy stamps with the background done using sheena sparkle pens!

Have a great Sunday! We are hoping to pop out to Lowther Castle if the weather holds!

Big hugs

Its a helluva challenge

Hello there! Well its my turn over at Countryview Challenges today and the theme this month is blues and greens. I decided to use the pink-ink-designs stamp called mels-angel. Here's what I made:

I started by stamping the image in blue versafine then proceeded to colour him in shades of blue and green watercolour pencil.... once happy I created the background using distress oxides plus a stencil with cogs. I completed the card with the sentiment stamp.

I hope you can join us for our challenge - you never know - you might win £20 to spend in store!!!

A rose garden

Hello there! You will see some inspiration from me on the Chocolate Baroque blog today - this time its from the June shows were we made samples from the  rose-and-thistle-unmounted-rubber-stamp-sheet-a5 and the rose-set-unmounted-rubber-stamp-sheet-dl.

Here are the samples I am showing over there today...

I hope you can pop over to check out how I made these!

Baubles at CCC

Hello there - well these fortnight really are rolling round rather too quickly for my liking - its time for another venture out with the Christmas Card Club girls and this time the theme was baubles... I had great plans with this theme but time has thwarted me again and I only got two made! Here they are:

I tried to sketch a tree for the baubles to hang on - this one didn't work quite so well but hey ho! The piggies are from 'pigs in blankets' by HobbyArt and the bauble fronts I made using the newly released chocolate baroque stamps - I stamped onto acetate and overlayed them over the images.

I think the tree was more successful in this one - same method but the goats came from a different stamp set - also from hobbyart.

My mum also made two cards ....

This first one used a clarity stencil and stamps from clarity and inkylicious....

This last one used a stencil from imagination crafts....

I hope you feel inspired!!!

Blue and green at Countryview Challenges

Hello there! July already! How did that happen so soon? Bonus of course for those of us who are teachers is that the long holidays begin this month!!! Yipee!!!

I have a post for countryviewchallenges today where we start a new challenge - the theme is blues and greens - and I had to go for an underwater scene - the colours really scream that to me.

I used the mermaid stamp from art by Marlene - I made my card using the following steps...

Firstly I created the background using distress oxides... I used faded-jeanslucky-clovermermaid-lagoon and twisted-citron.

Next I used a stencil with the lucky clover and faded jeans....

Next I stamped and coloured the Mermaid using watercolour pencils...finally she was fussy cut and added to the background with the sentiment.

I hope you can check out the inspiration from the rest of the team and look at the details for the challenge here..

Big hugs
