Baubles at Christmas card Club

Hello there! Well another fortnight in lockdown has rolled around - and its time for Christmas card club again. This time the theme is baubles.

I made another 4 cards this time - all 4 had element of flake on them but this first pair also included the use of luscious powders which work so well on black card applied along with flake to flitter powder. The stamp is a chocolate baroque one.

Foe this next pair I stamped another chocolate baroque image on black card using flitterglu and added kust flake this time - then I used an old TH die to cut the shapes before adding them to chocolate baroque backgrounds.

My mum has made three stunners this fortnight - i have had to order the stamps - they are from claritystamp.

if I had to choose one it would be the final one - so very pretty! Love them all but that one just wins it by a whisker for me!

I do hope you have enjoyed our samples. I can't wait to see what everyone else has done!

Big hugs

Makes for Indigoblu show - 13th April

Hello there - I just wanted to share some of my makes from the IndigoBlu show from last Tuesday. There are more to come including some step by steps ...

I used mostily the live laugh love stamp set for this one .... a bit of masking with the stamping and colouring in translucent paints (red) and luscious as a water colour.... I think it looks pretty!

This one is made using the Nottingham Lace stamp set - that lace is so pretty. The background is a bit of a masterboard I made upusing luscious powders then I cut to size and overstamped with the the tulip, again masking too. painting of the tulips was with translucent paints.

My AT coin has elements of live, laugh love and wild meadow. I painted the coins first with coastal walk paint then stamped and fussycut two of each flower that had been coloured with luscious. Finally I added words and some crystals.....

This last one is an ATC ...mainly just the sentiment from live, laugh love and the dragonfly from wild meadow.

More samples to come soon - oh amd Kay has a ODS launching on Hochanda tomorrow night - 6pm - check it out!

a catch up in this time of coronavirus

Hello there...well what strange and worrying times we are living through. I do hope you are all okay out there in blogland. Things here are okay. Its been homeschool week 3 this week... just for Penny..oh and me. Lucy's home schooling starts again on Monday. My furlough started on 6th April and is initially for 2 months. I am wondering if there will be a job for me at the end of it but I do appreciate having the time to spend with my girls, cooking, crafting and encourging them to do their school work. To be fair they are pretty good...although Penny has enjoyed having my full attention and help this week for sure.

I have been able to join in with a few things on facebook this week too...and the week before....
Kay from Indigoblu does a mxed media Monday at 4pm...I was able to make it one week and enjoyed doing a spot of journalling....

No photo description available.

I followed Kay's ideas and was pleased with the outcome!

I have been dropping in to Lesley's Whartons' social butterflies now and again too and the current challenge (for a few more days only) was trees....so this is what I made....

And of course....I have been following and working along with Jo Rice and some of her lessons on FB....

Its a busy time for me indeed.... but I am making the best of things...if you find you are feeling a bit low why not try some of these fb tutorials...its really uplifting! Huge thankyou to everybody out there who is doing these things so we can all attempt to stay sane when the world seems to be going mad!

Big hugs

Critters at CCC

Hello there! Well its a strange time indeed but time keeps on rolling along very quickly indeed. So fast that a fortnight has passed and its time for Christmas card club again. The theme this time is christmas critters...my mum and I have interpreted that slightly differently - I have gone for animals and mum for sprouts!
My first pair involves a stamp from Tracy Easson - I just added the santa hat to make it Christmassy. I also used a stamp from Crafty Individuals. I adore the main stamp - so cute!!!

My next pair of cards include mostly card-io stamps but there's a couple of TH stamps in there too....wish it didn't look like the tree was growing out of the dogs nose!!!

My mum used the lovely hobbyart stamps to make her cards...

Hope you have a lovely Easter!

Animal messages .....

Hello there! Well its already time for me to remind you about the current challenge at Countryview Challenges this month which is 'Animal Magic'. I have made a quick card using the tim-holtz-cling-mounted-stamp-set---funny-farm. Such a cute set!

I started with the stamp set and a distress oxide sheet that I had previously made cut into 7cm squares. I stamped the images then restamped onto white card.

Next I fussy cut the card and added the white images to the distress oxide card.

Finally I added black lines using a sharpie and added them to my card - quick and simple!

Hope you can join us in this challenge - you can link up here!

Animal Magic at Countryview Challenges

Hello there! Well its the first of the month and time for a new challenge at Countryview challenges where the theme is animal magic. I decided to use Tim's -snarky-cat- stampset  for my first make this month... just love these little fellas!!! I made an accordion card for a friend's 40th birthday. I also used the abundance stencil from all and create to make the backgrounds for my card.

To make the card I first used Distress Oxides on the stencil then spritzed the stencil and used it as a stamp. I did this all over an A3 piece of card then cut the card up into pieces 9cm by 13cm to use on the accordion card. I then decorated each panel using a different snarky cat.

I had such fun making this!

I do hope you can join us in this challenge. You can get further details and inspiration .....
