Santa at CCC

Hello there! Well its time for another Christmas card club and this time the theme is santa - I have made 4 cards and my mum has made three so there's lots going on here!
Starting with my first two cards ...

Two colourways of the same Tim Holtz stamps using pixie powder background...

Here it is close up.
My next card also involves Tim Holtz stamps ...

I stamped the background using versafine clair and in the foreground I added some luscious to the stamped image.

For my mums cards she used craft goodies from kanban, hunkydory and woodware.

I love that first image - gorgeous mum!

Hope you have a great Mothers day!

A Dirty Weekend with Indigoblu

Hello there! How are you? I hope you are well and happy - sorry for being a bad blogger - I am finding very little time to be on the computer just now....everything is just so very busy! Part of the reason is my weekend - if I spend time away I always pay for it  the week after. Still it was worth it - my weekend at the Manchester Indigoblu Dirty Weekend was fabulous! Here are my makes...

This one we did on the Sunday - such an ornate box - I loved adding the ombre - some people did this but others did rust effects - they all looked brilliant!

Inside it is a home for luscious powders .... brilliant!!!
For the first day we decorated a canvas bag... using paint and a beautiful printed canvas...

We did stamping too ....

and a bit of embroidery and adding sparkly sequins!

What a wonderful weekend - if you get the chance to go as the tour moves around the country then go for it - you won't be disappointed!

Late post for Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well its a late post for me for Christmas card club - I had two others scheduled for the weekend so I decided it was better late than never! The theme this fortnight was festive food - I had intended to do a second two along the theme but never got around to it - so I have two cards along the theme of anything goes! I used paperartsy stamps..

Here they are - a background of distress oxides plus the stamped images...

My mum went for the  anything goes option too!

Looks great - I know she had fun!

Big hugs and have a great day!

More numbers and letters

Hello there! I am over at Countryview Challenges today and I have a second piece for the current numbers/letters challenge. This time I used a stamp from Aall&Create...

I started by stamping the image and colouring the clock and butterflies using watercolour pencils. Then I added some pixie powders into the plain white areas and spritzed with water. Next I restamped the butterfly and repeated the colouring before fussy cutting.

I added the second butterfly then mounted the image on a card.
Great stamp isn't it?

Some birthday cards for March

Hello there! How are you? Thanks so much for your kind words on my Chocolate Baroque post - I really do appreciate it! I know how lucky I am to get to make these pieces for the TV shows but I still love to know that you like the pieces! Thankyou.

Today I have a few of the cards I have made for March - the first is for my friend Shelagh who is 60 today!

To make this I used a stamp set from clarity  and did most of the colouring using watercolour pencils...

This one is made for a niece who will be 13! I stamped and paperpieced with some leftover inky background. The stamp I used is from Crafty Individuals.

Finally a card that my eldest requested for her friend who had a birthday last week - a background in pixie powders and stamp from Aall and create.

I hope you have a great day - I am looking forward to meeting Shelagh for lunch at the Pottery Painting place - Pottyroos! Big hugs all!

Poinsettia at CCC.

Hello there! Its time for another christmas card club and the theme this fortnight is poinsettia. Great theme -thankyou! I decided to work with a die from TH and combined it with stamps and stencils to make 4 cards.

For 3 of them I used a phill Martin stamp in the background and in the final one I just used a stencil and a script stamp. On all 4 I used pixie powders plus a die cut poinsettia.

Here's a close up!

Now for my mums cards ... for this one I think she used sizzix dies ....

And this one Crealies stamp and dies.

Love that stamp!

I hope you have a great day!

Numbers and/or letters at Countryview Crafts

Good Morning - I know how can it possibly be the 1st March already? How did that happen? Well the first means a new challenge over at Countryview challenges and our theme this month is numbers/letters. I used a new stamp set from Visible image to make my first card...and an older stamp set from Tim...

I started by creating a background using distress oxides - wilted violet and cracked pistachio ... then I stamped all over it with a Tim stamp. Next I got the area I had already cut off plus some other scraps and stamped and fussy cut these butterflies from visible-image.

Finally I added them to my card .....

Here it is! I gave this to my friend who used to be a maths teacher and she really appreciated it!

I do hope you can join the challenge!
