One I forgot to post!

Hello lovelies! How are you today? I hope you are good - I am fine but having a bit of a crisis of confidence at the moment - its my first ever triathalon on Sunday and I feel very ill prepared and very scared - so much so that I'm thinking of backing out ..... I am only going to try and complete it - I have no problems with coming last - but overall I feel like I could be much better prepared!
Its a bit of a quandry - I wonder what to do!!!

I have a couple of cards to share today that I forgot to post - they were from the last week of coffee pot before the Easter holibobs.

Two different colours - created using a TH layering stencil and distress inks. The window die was one from spellbinders (I think - or was it die'sire?). It comes with the window and shutters and windowbox plus flowers. The cats were diecut whilst at my mums - not sure what make they are but they are great. The Happy Place stamp is from Chocolate Baroque.

Thats all for today!!!

Have a good one!

Hugs

Rachel x

  1. Your cards look great in both colourways Rachel. Judging by by boys and girls what you are feeling is quite normal, I am sure you are up for the challenge and as I always tell mine, it doesn't matter where you come, it's the taking part that counts. And of course I wish yo all the luck and will be rooting for you.

Zoe's has entered herself into some race (one that's new to me) in the Pyrenees in July, takes days apparently, but I guess if she managed the desert then she can do this one.

  5. Two beautiful cards Rachel, I love the windows. I'm sure that you are underestimating how well you will cope with the triathlon. Best of luck if you decide to go ahead.

  6. Both cards look lovely Rachel. I like both colourways equally and the little cats look perfect with the sentiment. On first looking I thought it was all one die. Very clever work.

Good luck for Sunday if you decide to do the triathlon. I'm sure it is normal to have a bit of a wobble as time gets close. Barbxx

  7. Love the cards Rachel, both are beautiful and love the colourways. It is surprising how one can change a card just by its colour.

Wow wow wow well done you for even thinking about doing a Triathlon. We watch on the TV each Sunday morning the "triathlons" and I am in or of everyone who takes part.

Good luck and hope to hear all about it later.

  8. Hi there Rachel, fabulous card, I love the cat dies and your window scene is so pretty.

Onw only you can decide what to do, having said that, quite natural to have a wobble before the event, it's a biggie, but as Brenda stated it's the taking part that counts, and you have worked hard to prepare so go and enjoy it, it's something you've wanted to do for a while, your an amazing Lady, and you'll be absolutely fine, good luck to you, and you'll always be a winner to those who count the most in your life, hugs Kate x

  10. Rachel, first off, my hat is off to you for even training for a triathalon! I can't swim except to save my life in a pool! Easy to say from my seat, but forget those nerves, and go ahead! You've train, you are ready as you ever will be! It will be a memory you will never forget!

My brother, nephew and nieces are big marathoners, with my brother still ticking at 60 plus years! Last one he did (this year) he did with an injured back and tons of sciatic pain in his leg.

As for your card, I love it! Fabulous brickwork and die cuts! Hugs and good luck this weekend!

  11. These are gorgeous. Go for it Rachel, you have trained hard for it, I know it is alright everyone saying it and you are felling apprehensive about doing the triathalon, but you may regret it if you don't. Your family will be proud of you whether you come in first last or in between. Big Hugs Marlene

Congratulations for you training, Rachel! Your are over of the worst part! To go every day, or every second day even if you feel tired that's an amazing thing! So just enjoy your triathlon, and it will be fine!
But don't forget! No training for a few days before the competition :-) Hugs
