Gnomes, tomtes or gonks at Christmas card club

 Hello there,

Well its our penultimate Christmas Card club and the theme this fortnight is gnomes, tomtes or gonks. I have used stamps by John Next door. All images have been coloured using clean colour pens.

My mum used images from Chocolate Baroque and also stencils from Lavinia stamps.

They are all so cute but mums cards are a much better finish than mine - rushing around again!

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Red and gold at Christmas card club

 Hello there,

Well here I am again with another make for Christmas Card club - I am so glad to have got as many made as i have. Things are getting busy stall wise so I think I will be limited in my makes over the upcoming months - but I have two for you today - both the same - made using Chocolate Baroque Poinsettia stamp.

I stamped in versa mark and embossed using god embossing powder. Then painted the image using indigoblu paints before mounting on two mirri card mats.

Mum has made one card.

She first used some paste, flake and a lavinia stencil to make the bauble background then die cut the baubles and added to red mirri card. I think its beautiful!

So thats all for today.

See you in a fortnight!
Love and hugs

sentiment focus at Christmas Card Club

This fortnight at Christmas card club we are focussing on the card sentiment. For my card I have used a Diesire die cut out in black card and added this to a background made up from crushed olive distress oxide and overprinted with a clarity stencil shown in forest moss distress ink.

Mum, who is doing very well, has managed to make two cards:
This first one includes an embossing folder and a die from Crafters Companion.

The second one includes a stencil from Imagination Crafts.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Cats and/or dogs at Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well another fortnight has rolled around and its time - yet again - for an outing of the Christmas Card Club - this time the theme is cats/and or dogs - and I had such plans for this theme and have only managed to make 2 cards.

Both made using the same Pink Ink Designs stamp - ever so slightly different with the sentiment. Both coloured with inktense pencils.

My mum, on the other hand, has gone to town and made 4 cards.

The first is my favourite and is made using Lavinia stamps and Card io.

The second/third are made using Jay's.

The final is made using Claritystamps.

I am rather looking forward to seeing what the other ladies have made.

I had another very quiet sale yesterday - this economic crisis is obviously really hitting hard.
Here's my stall:

I sold a few things - but mainly to friends and relatives!
Oh well - back to the drawing board!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Snow People at Christmas Card Club

Hello there - well another fortnight has rolled by and this time the Christmas card club challenge is 'snow people'. I have made 4 cards in total - all using hobbyart stamps.

Top right is on one stamp set and the other three are on a different stamp set! I do like snowies!

My mum has come up with three cards. This first one she can't recall the maker of the stamp.

These second two include a stamp by stampendous and a hunkydory frame die.

Both very cute!

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Christmas Cracker at Christmas card club

Hello there! How are you? I seem to be very busy with craft fairs but very glad to have finished teaching. I won't ever make a living at these fairs but its fun trying! I did one yesterday which didn't go so well - but I guess you have to take the rough with the smooth - and it takes time to learn what sells and where the best fairs are. At least it didn't cost me anything!

Today its another outing for the Christmas Card Club. The theme this fortnight is Christmas Crackers - I failed this time with the theme and have gone instead for anything goes.

my olde faithful camels - still love this image!

My mum was very good and found a discontinued sweet poppy stencil which she used to make 2 cards,

Well done mum - I think they look great!

Hope you have a good day - I am at work in the village shop all day! I will aim to return any comments tomorrow!

Big hugs

Diecuts at Christmas card club

Hello there! I am hoping this publishes as I will be at work and unable to check when it goes live - sure it will though! Another fortnight has rolled around and the theme this time at Christmas card club is diecuts. I decided to use one that I had never had out of the packet - a scribbly tree from Tim Holtz - I love it - its a much bigger die than I thought - really pleased with having used it! I made 4 variations on a theme having already made a number of gel press backgrounds.

To cut the trees out with I used some packaging from Lavinia stencils - I'm getting thrifty these days!

Here's my mums makes....she's used a number of dies - Tim Holtz, Sue Wilson and John next door.

I hope you have a great Sunday!

Hello there! Well its time for the first February outing of our Christmas card Club and the theme this time is gifts. So I made three using a die set from Tim Holtz and then two others from recycled Christmas Cards.

Sylvie you should recognise the recycled one on the left as you sent it to me!!!

My mum made three cards too using hunky dory toppers.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Santas little helpers at Christmas Card Club

 Hello there!

Its time for another outing of the Christmas Card Club and this fortnight the theme is Santas Little Helpers - my mum has been a good girl and followed the theme - but I am afraid I had new stamps itching to be used so I have gone with the Anything Goes option! Here's mine: I used stamps from Hobby art and coloured with Clean colour pens.

Here's my mums using Pink Ink stamps.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

snowmenwomen or snowfamilies at Christmas Card Club

 Hello there!

Time for the first October outing of the Christmas Card Club - can't believe its already challenge 21 for us - this year is surely moving fast. The theme this fortnight was snowmen/women or snowfamilies. Snowpeople - you get the idea! I have made 3 cards and my mum has done two - all snowpeople are from Hobby Art stamps.

Firstly my three - all pretty much the same - stamped - cut out using sue wilson octagonal dies and coloured with clean colour pens - distress oxide in background and mounted onto die cut card and  card blank.

Mum used some dies? Not sure whose - background paper from the works.

So not many more challenges left! I can't believe that time is rolling around so fast!
Big hugs

Poinsettias at Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well another fortnight has rolled around again and its time for another outing of the Christmas Card Club - this fortnight the theme is the ever popular poinsettias - I have used stamps from Chocolate Baroque to make my cards -

This first pair are a bit of an experiment - I did two of the foil and luscious powder ones and overlaid different parts of the black and white stamped one - not sure if I like them but they were fun to make!

Another Chocolate Baroque stamp - this time simply stamped and coloured with clean colour water colour pens...
My mums cards both use John Lockwood dies - I espcially love the second one - beautiful job mum!

I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Lots of layers at Christmas card club

 Hello there!

Well a fortnight has rolled around again and its time to come out to play with Christmas Card Club. This time the theme is Lots of layers. I have used a stamp on the same set as the dacshund I used last fortnight - so this time its the sugar pug fairy!

In each case I stamped the image and coloured with watercolour pens - then matted and layered it onto a piece of christmas paper from Crafty Individuals and then matted and layered it onto a card - I made 4.

My mum made two different cards - for this one she used the tattered poinsettia die and some papers from Hunky Dory.
For this second one she used hunky dory toppers and crafters companion
papers.

Looking forward to seeing what the ladies have made in this theme!

Had a brilliant day yesterday with my daughter Lucy - we took the Keswick launch to the start point and climbed over cat bells then dropped down and walked back along the shoreline!

Have a great Sunday!
