Its the first of the month and that means time for a new challenge over at Imagination Crafts. The theme for this month is 'Things with wings'. The prize - as always - is £40 to spend in the Imagination Crafts shop. To be eligible for the prize you must used an imagination crafts product in your make which can be a card, tag, multimedia item - whatever you fancy as long as you follow the theme.
Here's what I've done for your inspiration today:
There's quite a lot to this project so I'll walk you through the steps and highlight the products i have used. First of all I brayered a piece of white card using silkies. I used the two blues from the Persian velvet set of colours - these are currently on special offer at Imagination crafts.
When dry I did some background stamping using the smaller stamps from the Dragonfly decoupage stamp set - the green on the background - then used the tropical leaf stencil and lapis blue sparkle medium to complete the background.
For the topper I used the dragonfly decoupage stamp again and stamped in versamark onto kraft card. I added blue wow powders then heat set. I did this again on heat resistant acetate and again heat set with blue wow powders.
Finally I painted on the back of the acetate with silkies then cut them out once dry and stuck them onto the decoupage image. The sentiment came from the stamp set.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
