Mid way inspiration at Imagination crafts: a tutorial

Morning all! How are you today? I hope you are well. Well its my turn to do a tutorial for the Imagination Crafts Blog this time and the theme this month for the challenge is Things with wings. Here's what I did:

I started by applying distress inks to the reverse of centura pearl card using cut and dry foam.

I used more than one shade of blue and blended them until I was happy.

Next I used the imagination crafts honeycombe stencil and a darker blue distress ink - I applied this through the stencil using the cut and dry foam.
Next I added the dragonfly and poppies stencil to my piece - I coloured the dragonflies in a dark blue distress ink and used an alcohol pen to colour the stems - then i used a dark red distress ink to colour the poppies again using cut and dry foam to apply the ink.

Here is my piece ...

I then simply mounted it and left it without a sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial - I will be doing another one fairly soon so I hope you will enjoy that too! Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see you again soon. I hope you'll be able to join in out challenge at Imagination Crafts this month. Remember you need to use some Imagination crafts goodies to be in with a chance of winning the £40 voucher!

Big hugs

Rachel xx
