Thanks for your comments on my step x step yesterday - I've just sorted another one out but won't be showing it until June so you can breathe a sigh of relief there! lol! Today I've got my entry to the Compendium of Curiosities Vol 3 challenge 2 to share with you. This challenge is organised by Linda Ledbetter and you can find it here and this time has prizes from Tim and Mario and also Linda Coughlin at the funkie junkie boutique. The challenge this time centres around distress glitter. I used it on my piece using the technique shown in CC3. I had such fun making this - and used TH Menagerie papers - the 8x8 size.
I got the box of drawers from the MDF man - started by painting it all over with gesso.
Then I cut some of the menagerie papers up - I found this bit quite hard - they are the sorts of papers you just want to look at and stroke! I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Anyway once cut I stock them onto the gessoed MDF.
Next up I did some diecutting then used the distress glitter as per the technique - you'll need to look in the book - page 56 I think. Then I added some extra bits back into the lattice and stuck the pieces onto the drawers.
I repeated the process on the opposite side. The numbers and letters on the front were made in the same way.
Inside the draws I painted green and lined them with the laboratoire papers that I had sprayed green and yellow using dylusions sprays.
I love my set of drawers - I've put ATC's from others in the top drawer. Not too sure whats going in the other drawers yet but I shall always enjoy this piece and look forward to seeing it often!
I'd like to enter this into the cc3challengeCC3 challenge
and also Divas: divasbydesignchallengeABAC.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope to see you again soon.
Big hugs
Rachel xx

Gosh Rachel, such a lot of work gone into this Hun. It is beautiful, so colourful, makes you happy just looking at it. Hope your back is better soon. I too get a bad back every now and then, with a little rest (which is not always possible with a family to look after lol,) it's usually better by the fourth/fifth day. Enjoy your day, it's beautiful and sunny here today.
