Today I have an 8x8 mixed media canvas to share with you - I had a nice messy evening in my attic last night and this is the fruit of my labour. The stamps are JOFY (bought from That Craft Place) and the stencils are also from paperartsy Jofy range.
I started off with a blank canvas and added some TH tissue wrap - next I used the paperartsy stencil and some translucent dreamweaver embossing paste. When dry I added distress paints - mowed lawn and broken china - I mushed them around using some kitchen roll and blended them together. When dry I added another layer on stencilled flowers this time using grunge paste. I left this to dry and set about making some background paper using distress stains and flicking and spritzing with water - I also used distress inks. Once the paper was dry I stamped JOFY stamps on it and fussy cut them. When the canvas was dry I used distress inks to colour the grunge paste, did some random stamping with words and small bubbles then stuck on the fussy cut images and words.
I would like to enter my canvas into the following challenges:
Country View Craftscountryviewchallenges: Natures Glories
Simon says stamp wedssimonsaysstampblog - Spring flowers
Artistic stampertheartisticstampercreativeteam: In the garden
A little Bit Craftypaulaholifieldcrafts: Flower Power
Thanks for dropping by today - i hope you've enjoyed the results of my messy play.
Have a great Monday!
Hugs

I really love your background and how you have done the flowers. I never really thought of plwying with my distress, this could be because I love playing with my fresco paints lol. Kezzy:-) xxx
