Craft a scene: Winter scene with the option of a trishutter

Good afternoon all! Well I suspect you're getting tired of my posts right now so I'll keep it short! Lol!!! At Craftascene we are launching Decembers challenge - and this month the theme is a winter scene - and there is the option of creating a trishutter card. I've done that - although I've had some comments from people who have seen the card already that it was such a gorgeous scene it was a shame to cut it up! Lol! I understand where that view is coming from but I actually quite like the effect! What do you think?

The stamps are from a set by Sheena douglass when she was at Creative Expressions - I think its called vintage Christmas. I've done most of the colouring with promarkers and also added some glitter - the snowflakes are cut using spellbinders dies. I cut the tri- shutter using my hougie board. It was relatively simple to make!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges!

Totally Gorjusstotallygorjuss: Snow
AGOACpinkgemchallengeblog: Winter wonderland
I love promarkers:ilovepromarkers AG

I wonder did any of you notice my getting a GDT post on the Pan pastel (premium brands) challenge blog? I'm there for the month of December - its really exciting stuff and I'm well chuffed to have been asked! I'll blog the piece I made tomorrow although it was on their site already today!

Big Hugs from me and thanks for dropping by! Hope to see you again soon!

alec's card

Good morning - this is a card I made for one of Lucy's class mates - Alec was 7 earlier this month! I've used a stamp from LOTV.

Alec is another jujitsu buddy - hence the image - I teamed it with bold colours - the orange to go with his belt colour and blue as a contrast. The image has been coloured with promarkers and cut using a spellbinders die. The cogs are squidgey pins coloured with distress stains. The card was made using centura pearl card on a hougie board.

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope to see you again soon!

Post for Whoopsi Daisy: Use two or more images

Good morning Lovelies - how are you on this bank holiday morning? Hopefully good! This is another scheduled post for me as I'm away just now!

Over at Whoopsi Daisy today there is a new challenge starting that would like you to use two or more images. I used two images - one from sheet 447 and one from sheet 467 that you can get here.

The images were printed out and coloured with promarkers then added to the card blank made on the hougie board - its been getting a lot of use I know!!!!The Christmas tree image from sheet 467 was flipped before printing.

Thanks for popping by today and I'll try and catch up with you later!

Danielle's card

Hello there - this is a scheduled post so I hope Mr blogger is behaving! Today I'm showing you the birthday card I made using Little Claire stamps for my good friend Danielle - its her birthday today - so she has her card already!

I made the card using my hougie board and then used the prima papers to cover the main panels. I stamped and coloured the main image with promarkers and distressed the edges with distress ink. I stamped the bottom panel and the corner pieces and used similar colours to that on the main image. Finally I stamped the sentiment which seemed very appropriate as Danielle has a daughter called daisy!

Hope you are well and happy and I'll try and catch up with you later - thanks for visiting today!

Day 3 new releases at Crafty sentiments

Good morning! Its my second post of the day and I'm bringing to you another new card from the New Releases at Crafty Sentiments - this one is lovely and she's called 'the mask'. A really pretty image - here's what I did.

The card shape was made using the hougie board - on the base I added some fabric that I found at Terry's fabrics that you can find for yourself here. The image was coloured with promarkers and cut out using a spellbinders die. The flowers are WOC. Check out what the guest DT did with this image over on the Inspirations site here.

The three new images plus 7 others will be available in the shop from tomorrow. The 7 images not yet shown will be featuring in tutorials on the Inspiration blog from Friday onwards. I'm doing one on Saturday - the image is lovely - I hope you're going to enjoy seeing what I did with it.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Art Deco Inspired at WOW powders

Morning lovelies! Hope you are well and happy and thanks for your comments on yesterdays tag - very much appreciated.

We should all be heading off to Stoke on Trent today to meet up with my mil plus the german side of DH's family who are over visiting at the moment. We're intending to go to the Potteries museum and art gallery and take it from there! Hope we have a good day!

I've got a card I'm very pleased with today to share with you. I made it specifically for the WOW powders challenge which this month is Art Deco Inspired. I did some scoring with my hougie to make the lines on the card and rubbed the lines with versamark before adding WOW powders and heat setting. The pattern behind the image started off as black card and I used a kanban stamp with versa mark and added the pattern all over the card before adding wow powders and heat setting. I then cut the card to fit the inner triangle. The image was stamped with black archival then I added clear embossing powder and heat set before colouring with promarkers and cutting with a go kreate die.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

WOW Powderswowembossingpowder: Art Deco Inspired
TPCtotallypapercrafts:Fave colours (black and gold)
Bearly minebearlymine-challenges: AG
PTWpapertakeweekly: Occasions
ssssMondaysimonsaysstampblog: Use diecuts

Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by! Big Hugs rachel xx
