Craft a scene: Winter scene with the option of a trishutter

Good afternoon all! Well I suspect you're getting tired of my posts right now so I'll keep it short! Lol!!! At Craftascene we are launching Decembers challenge - and this month the theme is a winter scene - and there is the option of creating a trishutter card. I've done that - although I've had some comments from people who have seen the card already that it was such a gorgeous scene it was a shame to cut it up! Lol! I understand where that view is coming from but I actually quite like the effect! What do you think?

The stamps are from a set by Sheena douglass when she was at Creative Expressions - I think its called vintage Christmas. I've done most of the colouring with promarkers and also added some glitter - the snowflakes are cut using spellbinders dies. I cut the tri- shutter using my hougie board. It was relatively simple to make!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges!

Totally Gorjusstotallygorjuss: Snow
AGOACpinkgemchallengeblog: Winter wonderland
I love promarkers:ilovepromarkers AG

Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge - craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2December Extra
countryviewchallenges - whoo-hoo-its-nearly-christmas- bah humbug

I wonder did any of you notice my getting a GDT post on the Pan pastel (premium brands) challenge blog? I'm there for the month of December - its really exciting stuff and I'm well chuffed to have been asked! I'll blog the piece I made tomorrow although it was on their site already today!

Big Hugs from me and thanks for dropping by! Hope to see you again soon!

Its Lucy and the juniors turn today - I hope they have as much fun!!!!

Blue at Crafty Sentiments and my morning at coffeepot

Good morning to you! How are you? Good I hope! I'm still reeling from the PTA meeting I went to last night and all the things that need to be done before the christmas fair on the 30th! Deep breath and as Kath Stewart would say big girl knickers time!!!!

Over at craftysentiments today the new challenge is Blues.
The prize up for grabs is this fab stamp just right for your christmas creations !!

If you use a Crafty Sentiments Design image you will be entered 3 times and be in for a chance of being our Crafty Sentiments favoutite !!  Just put a #3 after your name when entering.

Here's what I did using the image wizard charlie that you can get here

The image has been coloured with promarkers. The stars were double sided sticky shapes that I've stuck down and added glitter to. I've also created a faux frame around Charlie.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
TPCtotallypapercrafts: Use glitter
charismacharismacardz: AG
I love promarkersilovepromarkers: all that glitters

The shapes were from the MDF man - a mixed bag of 15 holiday ornament shapes for £5. What a bargain. we decopatched the shapes then added the diecut 3D snowflake from Tim Holtz sizzix range. Simple but effective I think.

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you've enjoyed your visit. Hope to see you again soon.

Bingo at Creative Inspirations

Good morning all. I'm hoping Mr Blogger plays ball and this post works. I hope to do links before hitting the road but most of today will be spent enroute to Bristol. Not sure where we're going to stop on the way but it will be somewhere!!!! Hopefully we'll be able to make a day of it before getting to our travelodge this evening. Thats going to be something very new and exciting for the girls too - bless them - hope it all goes well!

Over at Creative Inspirations this week's challenge is Bingo!

This week we have 2 prizes and the first of which is from BEARLY MINE DESIGNS and is a £10 GIFT VOUCHER!

The next prize is from our regular sponsor J&C CREATIONS and is another £10 GIFT VOUCHER!

Here's what I did - I used the line snowflakes, white and frantage to make Lucy's card for Christmas. She just adores pandas so I try to find panda images for her cards.

The image is supercute and I thought was from the stamp fairy but I can't seem to find it online so now I'm not sure!  Its coloured in promarkers and then cut with an X-Cut die. The edges were distressed with DI and then the frantage added and heat set. I mounted this on a background embossed with a snowflake embossing folder - I think it was a darice folder. The baubles were free stamps from the recent simply cardmaking and papercraft magazine. I stamped them with versamark and added metallic lilac WOW powders and heat set.  The papers behind all this are from the snowman 12x12 inch paper set and I distressed the edges using a TH distress tool.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Glitternsparkle:glitternsparklechallengeblog add some black.

Thanks for dropping by today and hope to see you again soon!

New release at Crafty sentiments: Christmas rush

Hello lovelies - its time for me to show you the new release at Crafty Sentiments called Christmas Rush and you can get it here. It was in the shop on the 22nd but the day to show you this little beauty is today. Three of us from the DT (the mulled wine drinkers) were charged with coming up with a a common theme each and adding it to our projects. See if you can work out our common elements on the inspirational blog here. Here's my make:

This is a money box for helping me save for Christmas - woo hoo - I definitely need it! Anyway - so what have I done? The box was from the MDF man and was painted with gesso then pebeo acrylic paint. I stamped some script then used an imagination craft stencil called 'the clearing' with sparkle medium. The roof was tiled with sequins and the brass star on the front was covered with versamark and lilac wow powders were added. and heat set. The stamp was coloured with promarkers and fussy cut and added to the moneybox.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

AG with the option of a sketch at Creative Inspirations

Good morning all! Thanks for you kind comments on yesterdays post - its very good of you to take the time to come and visit - I do appreciate it!

Hope you are well? We are good although I'm glad I won't be getting weighed for a couple of weeks - I think the Great British bake off has been getting the better of me! I was so glad that Frances won - loved her canapes last week - they were just amazing! Yum yum!!!

Onto todays post ....
This week's challenge over at Creative Inspirations  is Anything Goes + Option of A Sketch! Here's the sketch:

This week's prize is from  MY MUMS CRAFT SHOP and is a £10 GIFT VOUCHER!

I was lucky enough to win one of these the other week and my goodies rolled in today - can't wait to use them - but I will have to wait until tonight - after Rainbows and after my little penny's rehearsal for the Alice in Wonderland play in the village.

Back to my card .....

I've made this for the winter birthday of my niece Evie. She's going to be 9 this year - growing fast!!! The image is from the stamp fairy and I've coloured her with promarkers and distressed around the edges with tumbled glass DI. The papers are from LOTV. The flowers are WOC and the gems from Chloe.

I'd like to enter the following challenges with this card:

PFPpromarkerchallenge: Give me a P - Plaid, (ski) poles,
As you like itasyoulikeitchallenge: Fave sketch and why - for me this sketch is so useful - most images will fit well with a central focal point and the 2 papers crossed behind the image look fab.

Thats all for today - got a lovely one to show you tomorrow - and I'll bring you the results of my candy win too!

Big Hugs and thanks for joining me today!

Hello baby at Crafters Companion

Good morning lovelies! I hope you are well. We're all good and definitely ready for half term which starts here on Friday.

I had a good day with my ladies yesterday - we did the shaving foam and ink background method again and then made butterflies using film and fibre and put the two things together to make bookmarks:

I had a lovely evening too - i went down to a pampered chef evening in the village at a friends house. It was a 'pink' evening so all the 'commission' went to breast cancer - and we did have a lovely time too!!!!

Anyway - onto my post for today - this months challenge at crafters companion is baby - so i've made a baby card for my cousin in america whose wife is expecting their second child.

The image is from the party paws range - the sentiment and baby stamp are all on the same stamp sheet. I've coloured the image with promarkers and used spellbinders dies to cut the image. There's twine in the buttons and the paper is from my stash. I'm hoping my good blog buddy carol hasn't got her promarkers out trying to colour in my wallpaper - lol!!! Brilliant idea carol - it is distracting isn't it?

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges;
Crafters companioncrafterscompanion; Baby
Totally Gorjusstotallygorjuss: String
Fussy and Fancyfussyandfancychallenge: Celebration

thanks for dropping by today and i hope to see you again soon! Big Hugs rachel xx
