Christmas teddy at Christmas card club

Good morning lovelies! How are you today? I hope you are okay. We are all good and enjoyed the play yesterday - we've got a lot of work to do to get it up and running for October - it certainly gave all involved food for thought. We've got another busy day today - Jujitsu grading time again this morning - I'll be doing my long run  (9and 1/2 miles) whilst Lucy and Penny do that - then its off to my mums for lunch and we need to decorate rocks for the teachers farewell and thankyou presents.

I got a some excellent news on Friday winning the Allsorts challenge with my Fairy card and also getting in the top 5. I also got more good news yesterday - along with my blog buddy Mags - I got to be GDT at Little Claire - very excited about that and looking forward to making some cards to inspire you!!

My blog hop prize from That Craft Place has also been won - its you catherine! If you would like to email me I'll get it out to you ASAP!

Now onto the Christmas card club. I have  a trio of christmas teddy cards - there were more stamps to choose from too! Here they are:

I used distress in Christmas colours to create a background and made all three up in the same way.

This first one uses an LOTV image coloured with spectrum noirs and cut with an Xcut die.

This next one includes an image from Crafty Sentiments as does the final one.

This one is my fave - I love that sweet image!

I would like to enter my cards into the following challenges:

Winterwonderlandchristmasblogchallenge - three of three - three cards - delete me if this doesn't count!
sweet stampinsweetstampinchallengeblog - christmas in July

I'll be back at 4 with my craft a scene post - hope to see you then and thanks for dropping by for this post.

Big Hugs

Its WOW at Crafty Sentiments

Hello lovelies - long time no see! Lol! My second post of the day and the challenge at Crafty Sentiments today is White on White! I love doing these - they're so different from my usually inkiness but I find it hard to keep them clean!

This is the card I made for Shaun for our 9th wedding anniversary in March - I used two folders from crafters companion to create the texture in the background - a die from la la land crafts, and a crafty cutter die from Crafty sentiments to make the flowers. The sentiment stamp is from Tim Holtz and the main stamp from crafty sentiments has been coloured in promarkers.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you've enjoyed your visit!

Good morning to you - how are you today? I was really excited yesterday morning to discover I had been picked as a winner on the Crafty Individuals challenge blog - I love all the Crafty Individuals stamps so it was a big thrill and an honour - woo hoo! The papers are from LOTV, the banner die is from La la land crafts, the flowers and lacy edger are from crafty cutter dies by Crafty Sentiments. The image is from Crafters companion and was coloured in using spectrum noir pens. Hope you liked it Mags and that you have a very happy Birthday.

New release from Crafty Sentiments:

Hiya there - today I have a new release to show you from Crafty Sentiments - they're being featured over on the inspiration blog for the next three days and will be in the stores on the 22nd. The one I'm using is called meeting  friends..... and I have altered a mirror for my little girls using it - the mirror was from Ikea - and was gifted to me by a lovely blog buddy Rae  (the girls had one each too - will add a picture when they have finished them).

I've done a step by step for you today too - hope you enjoy it! This is the finished product so you can see where we're heading!

And this is a close -up of the image - she's a sweetie pie!

Here's what I did to alter the frame:

First - although its not showing too well in the picture, I coated the frame with a thin layer of gesso - after blanking off the mirror. Then I added the purple acrylic paint - I've since started to use a sponge for these under coats - its so much faster and doesn't leave brush strokes.

Whilst the paint was drying I stamped and coloured the image then fussy cut it.

The next step was to apply stamping to the frame ( my fave Crafty Individuals script stamp), some gold pearl texture paste through the TH bubble stencil and some dreamweaver black embossing paste through a butterfly stencil from Imagination Crafts.

Finally I sprayed some flowers and diecut the clockface and added added everything to the frame.

I'd like to enter this into  Brendas 5th-blogaversary-celebration candy challenge as I used my standby script stamp - I love this stamp!

Big hugs to you and thanks for visiting - hope you have a good day - we're busy today getting ready for Nana arriving tonight and shopping for Penny's birthday tea tomorrow and party on Sunday. Should be fun!

Big hugs and hope to see you again soon!

Sneak peak of new releases at Crafty Sentiments

Good morning to you! How are you today? Good I hope! We're all good and happy to report that the jumble sale raised about £165 yesterday - which isn't bad at all - I think we'll do that again some time.

Well I've got two posts today both scheduled for the same time - never had that before - I wonder what will happen? I guess I'll soon see!

This post is a sneak peak for the New release at Crafty Sentiments - there are some beautiful images in this release and they'll be in store on 22nd January.

New Release

I got the image called 'I Love you' to play with and I thought it would be fun to alter a letter rack - for all those love letters I get - lol! (not)......

I've coloured my image in using speccies and covered the MDF letter rack with papers from the secret garden series from Graphics 45. The flowers on the rack are made using an Imagination crafts stencil and texture paste. I pasted through the stencil onto my craft sheet, lifted and cleaned the stencil and left the paste to dry. Once dry they just peeled away from the craft sheet. I've added some pretty metal centres to the flowers and also added a dragonfly charm.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs

Rachel xx
