A festive round up!

Hello there lovelies! I do hope you are well! Things here have been incredibly busy over the Christmas period - I have been away at center parcs briefly before Christmas - then we had christmas day here whilst on boxing day i headed south to spend a week with Shaun's mum and his brother and family. It was lovely to see everybody and we had a great time!

I wanted to show you a couple of the homemade presents I did this christmas -

After the success of Penny's sewing box i had to make one for Lucy -

She's really pleased with it and it will look great in her room which is going to be decorated this week.

This is a box i made for my sister in law Silvia - she loves strawberries and herbal tea!

This also went down well!

A few pictures from Christmas day!

Gorgeous girls with their new hats on!

Lucy's funny reindeer glasses!

And my mum and dad. My dad was taken into hospital on new years day - he's finding walking very difficult at present - just before Christmas he found he had a tumour on his liver - he's been knocked for six really since then. I've been to see him today and he was looking well but is also very confused still. Hopefully they'll find out why his walking is such a problem. My poor mum has had it all on! Bless her - she's such a star.

Thats where things are here! I hope i have some good news for you soon - we are bracing ourselves for the anniversary of Shaun's death which is tomorrow- I can't believe a year has passed - things are still very fresh and raw. Hopefully having the first year out of the way will help!

Big hugs lovely people!

Rachel xx

  22. A lovely festive round-up and your handmade gifts certainly look as though they went down a treat. Sorry to hear about your dad... hopefully they can work out what's wrong and take some of the pressure off you and your mum.

Such a hard time of year to be dealing with it all, but I hope that you found a way to commemorate the anniversary of Shaun's death that meant you could remember him with love. Like Dawn, I'm sure he'd be so proud of how you and the girls are living your lives with such positivity, and sharing that with us all too.

  24. Hello huni, so sorry I've not visited for such a long time, it's been the usual issues for me. I have no idea what to say or how to help you just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers my lovely.
What I do know is that you are blooming awesome and your girls are awesome too. I have an idea that Shaun would be so proud of you and your girls. You have had so much thrown at you and you haven't given up or crumbled and if you do so what?! I'm sure I could not drag myself off the floor let alone have to look after your girls as well as you have and will continue to do.
If you do dissolve it doesn't matter, you are allowed, and I wish I could reach out and give you a great big hug right now, you will get through this. I have an inkling that you and I would be good mates in the real world Karen xx
