A grand day out!

Hello lovelies! Thanks so much for your concern about my dad - he seems to be fine - all his tests came back negative - they think it was muscular! Anyway - better safe then sorry - its just a shame my mum missed the show! Soon mum!

Me and my girlies had a lovely time at the show - we did two workshops - we made a lovely box with flowers with Pauline Wheeler and then did an MDF heart frame with Sarah McCrossan. The girls really enjoyed both workshops - as did I - I'll show you their makes later  but first a card I made using a stamp set from Indigo Blu that I bought whilst there.

I created the background on the card first using the stamps from the poppycock set and distress inks then I made the topper using the largest poppy from the set stamped in versa and heat set with black wow powders. I also used distress ink and distress marker to complete the topper. Finally I stamped an Indigo Blu sentiment.

I'd like to enter this into the indigoblublogchallenge-28-pocketful-of-posies.

So here'a my girlies and both their makes plus the decopatch they managed to do tonight - I did the gecko - I love geckos!

Penny insisted on buying this fabric - she's a funny one!

We had a great day! Its back to school today for the girls - Penny has got an adventure day on Windermere - the forecast isn't good but I suspect they'll have fun! I will hopefully be getting a piano delivered today - my friend Alison was wanting rid of hers - so hopefully we'll be getting it today. I'll let you know!!!

Hope you have a great day!

Big Hugs

Rachel x

  2. The girls make gr eat projects Rachel, so nice you could craft together. And pleased your Dad git the all clear. Super card today as well.

We were talking about you at dinner last evening (in a very nice way), one of the boys has booked a week in the Lake District which prompted me to mention your swim and that now you were buying the wet suite. His girlfriend looked at me in horror and said did that mean the first time you didn't wear one and was well impressed by your tenacity.
