Blinking units!!!!

Hello Lovelies - how are you? I'm good although my units didn't arrive until 3pm yesterday - just before I had to pick the girls up for their crazy evening of dancing and brownies. Okay so I managed to get the first box of units up into the attic - didn't realise it was flatpack - which made it getting it up there easy. I got most of the assembly done before I realised that one piece was missing - I'm hoping to find it in the other box - but don't hold your breath! Lol! You've got to laugh!

I did a second entry for the Indigo blu challenge. I was watching Jenny Marples on the British Craft Network and I saw her stamping with flitterglu and adding flakes - that was my inspiration for this piece:


I stamped the big butterfly from indigo blu first - masked it then used distress inks to create the background. 


Then I added the limor circles (also indigo blu) with flitterglu (indigo blu) and added winter dawn flake (indigo blu).


It looks  cool to me - love this - thanks jenny for the memory jog!

The sentiment is by chocolate baroque.

I've also just done up a distress paint holder from Stamps Away. I used Tim Holtz wallflower papers.




It'll look nice sitting on my units once they are made!!!!

    I thought about you and those unit yesterday Rachel, sounds about par for the course with the missing part, there's usually something.

    What a beautiful card Rachel! The circles work perfectly behind the butterfly on this. Thanks so much for the mention - glad to help jog your memory, especially when the results are so wonderful!     Oh what fabulous projects today Rachel, your card is beautiful (I love Jenny's videos too), the Limor stamps look wonderful with the flittering. As for your paint holder, it looks fabulous and will look great on your new units.
