Today I would like to share with you a triptych that I have altered using mostly paperartsy goodies bought from Port Sunny. The triptych itself is huge - over 12 inches tall in the middle and was a gift from the lovely jo - thanks Jo - I know its taken me a long time to do this but i think it was worth the wait!!!!
I started by coating the MDF with smurf blue opaque paint. when dry I started stencilling with snowflake white opaque paint using a mixed leaf stencil from paperartsy.
Next I used translucent blue glass paint over the white leaves to tone the white down. Then I added some white dots and tango dots using another paperartsy stencil. I also stenciled the orange flowers.
I used another stencil and applied grunge paste through it then allowed this to dry - then I stamped onto it using a paperarsty stamp which I then painted. I also stamped in some white paint the starbursts and stamped the leaves too. Then I painted the leaves and waited for the whole thing to dry.
Finally I typed the first verse of John Keats Endymion then cut them up and added to the pieces using glue and seal.
and voila! it was finished!!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Hope you have a great wednesday!
Big hugs
Rachel xx

Love the idea of the triptych, and the wonderful sparkle of the blues with the hint of white. And that glorious blaze of the red/orange flower. Loved that sentiment too. You've done a magnificent effort on this one, and your friend will adore it. TFS & Hugs (I am admired all this exercise you are doing too! Good for you).
