Under the sea: Craft a scene monthly challenge week 2

Hello there - I should be on my way to Doncaster when this post goes live! How exciting. I love going to craft fairs with my mum - she doesn't get out too much - my dad is not in the best of health and she hates to leave him all day - but we try to get to craft shows together 3 times a year! I'm so glad she does - she's a lovely lady and deserves a bit of a break!

Today I'm showing you a card as a reminder of the 'Under the Sea' challenge over at craftascene this month. I had lots of fun making this one! I started with some blue card and spritzed it with blue and green sprays - this isn't showing up too well in the photos graphs but you can get the impression. Once that was dry I applied some Imagination Crafts sparkle medium (jade) through an Imagination Crafts Stencil and allowed it to dry before using the same stencil to add a different colour of sparkle medium. Whilst everything was drying I got out some black staz-on and inked up my Lavinia fishy stamps. I added a sandwich of angelina film and fibres to the stamps then greaseproof paper and applied a warm iron. Then I lifted the film and fibre and cut around the images. Finally I punched the bottom part of the card using a martha stewart punch and added the bow and then diecut the happy Birthday using Britania dies.

The central picture is taken with a flash - just so that you can see the difference.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Lavinia Stamps -laviniastamps July Challenge: Use dies/punches
Songbirdsongbirdchallenges - ribbon
Crafty Ribbonscraftyribbonschallenge: AG with ribbon
As you like it:asyoulikeitchallenge Fave occasion - birthday - I love making birthday cards - you can make them so personal - its definitely my fave occasion to make for.
PTWpapertakeweekly: Old (the base card), new (the stamps), borrowed (ribbon), Blue ( the card I altered).
2 sisters2sisterschallengeblog: Make it sparkle
Heck of a challengeheckofachallenge: The sea

Hope you have a great day - It may take me a while to catch up with you today - it'll probably be tomorrow before I get chance but I will get there!

Big hugs and thanks for visiting!

Rachel xx
