Dragonfly hideout

Hello there! I do hope you are well. Things are good here but increasingly busy it seems! Still - its the way I like it so mustn't grumble!

Today I want to share with you the cards I made using my last stamp supplied by hunky dory - its been a pleasure using these stamps - they are beautiful! Today I decided to use two different techniques to see how they compared with this stamp - I started off by using alcohol inks on yupo. I then 'inked' up the stamp using lift ink...

I then stamped this onto the yupo and wiped the image before mounting it on a DL card.

Not a huge success - the stamp is probably too detailed for this technique!

Next off I just stamped in black ink onto a distress oxide background...

....much better result this time!!!! Lovely stamp! Thanks Hunky Dory!

Have a great day!

Papillon

Hello there! Wow its the 10th already! How did that happen! Things here are going good. Back at work and enjoying veganuary. I have already clocked up some lengths in my swim challenge and some miles in my run challenge. Long may it continue!

Today I have my second post using stamps from Hunky Dory - this Phill Martin stamp I have used can be found here. I decided to make a card and 3 AT coins that I needed for my january swaps.

I stamped the stamp three times but only used two in the end ....I also partially stamped three AT coins that I had already covered in acrylic paint.

I used some pixie powders to add to the background on one piece of card and on another I used watercolour pencils and picked out some of the larger pieces then fussy cut them...

Finally I added the fussy cut pieces to the card and used the water colour pencils to finish off the AT coins.

I do hope you like these pieces - the stamp worked well on an acrylic paint surface on MDF and the card. Another great and easy to use stamp ... thankyou!

Have a great day!

Autumn at Little Claire and a crafternoon with mum

Good morning lovelies - I hope you're feeling well and happy. If not have a big hug from me!!!!!

Its mad Thursday today - always busy but the lovely thing is a planned crafternoon with my mum - we're going to do another sheena tutorial - we did one on Tuesday - too - it was a relatively quick one involving embossing and inky fun. This is what I made:

It was a quick one to do - the card blank was embossed with the A4 maple leaf folder. A sheet of centura pearl was embossed with the 5x7 birds folder and cut to size. Another piece of centura pearl was inked with a mixture of distress inks and cosmic shimmer mist sprays applied with a sponge then embossed and the relief was inked with stazon. That's about it but a technique I will use again!

My other card for today had been made with the Little Claire challenge in mind - there is a sketch and the theme is autumn.

I've used a topper I won from Little Claire's august challenge and papers from hunkydory. The leaf diecuts are all from spellbinders.
I'd like to enter this card into the Little Claire Autumn challenge littleclairesdesigns

Thanks for dropping by today - hope you have a good day!

Autumn at whoopsi daisy

Morning all! How are you? I do hope you are well! I'm alarmed at how fast this year is going - in less than a week I'll be doing the great North run for Asthma UK. Fingers crossed that this time next week I'm telling you that it all went well!!!! Thanks to those of you that have sponsored me - and if anybody else out there thinks they can it would be wonderful - here's a link to my justgiving page. Don't worry if you can't though - times are hard - we all know that! And if you do visit - it looks like I've only got £90 - but I'm actually close to my target - I've got sponsor forms here at home plus the money I made from the coffee morning so I'm close to target!

Today at Whoopsi Daisy there is a new challenge starting - this time its all about autumn and this is the card I made for the challenge:

I've used an acetate wrap on this card - that's a fairly old piece of foiled acetate from hunkdory. The image is from sheet number 425 which you can get here. I've coloured the image in with promarkers and fussy cut before adding her to the acetate wrap. Underneath the wrap is some shiny paper that I'e embossed using a Sheena Douglass embossing folder. I've also added ribbon to help keep the wrap and the card together.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Penny'spennyschallenges: Spooled items
Crafty Ribbonscraftyribbonschallenge: AG with ribbon
OSAAT:onestitchatatimechallenge Use a digi
Crafters Companioncrafterscompanion: Embossing

Thanks for dropping by today and for any comments you leave - I really do appreciate your thoughts and the time you spend visiting.

Big Hugs
