Spring colours at lavinia and florals at Crafters Companion

Good morning lovelies - how are you today? I am well and good and mum to a very excited Lucy today - she's off on a school trip up to Windermere to an outdoor activity centre today. Hope the weathers not too bad for them although I know they'll have fun whatever it does. Its Penny's turn tomorrow!

I've got two cards to share with you today - the first is my make for this months challenge over at Lavinia. When I went to Port Sunlight I bought the stamps I used on this card - I love them both.

I used a mask to create the hills then a TH stencil to do the sunrays. Then I stamped the rabbits and the thistles. Those rabbits are fab - expect to see them again soon - they will be my stamp this easter I think!!!!

I'd like to enter this card into the Lavinia laviniastamps spring-colours
April Challenge which is Spring colours.

My next offering is one inspired by a card in last months craft stamper using something called the Bocka technique - not sure of the spelling - but anyway - you basically use the rubber on the end of a pencil to dip in water and lighten areas of the distressed strip. My didn't work so well so I ended up using spritz and flick and that worked fine.

The stamps \i used are both from Sheena douglass.

I made this card specially for the challenge at Crafters companion this month which has now moved to facebook. I would also like to enter this into this weeks sunday stamper pinkleart where the theme is nature,

I hope you have enjoyed my offerings today - more tomorrow! Hope to see you here then! Big hugs and thanks for visiting.

Rachel xx

  16. It's Bokeh and the way CS used this technique was very different to how I learnt this technique a few years ago. Lovely effect though and will have a go myself soon Karen xx
