favourite techniques

Hello lovelies - how are you today? Wasn't it a gorgeous day yesterday? Lets hope we have more of the same today! I got lots done in the garden - planted out some peas and put out my hardened off broad beans - and set some sunflower seeds and some lettuce seeds.

Todays card is one I have made for my husband Shaun's birthday - its not until June but I wanted to use this stencil and stamp set from Clarity as soon as I got them - so here's the result:

I used a 7x7 piece of clarity card and added the stencil then applied grunge paste through it - whilst this dried a stamped and coloured the woodpecker - and fussycut him. Then I applied mowed lawn DI to the field and brwon panpastels to the trunk. I added light blue panpastel to create the sky then stamped and coloured the foliage with spectrum noirs. The sentiment is from whimsy stamps. Then it was just a case of matting and layering.

I'd like to enter this card to the following challenges:

  22. LOVE IT!!! Really stunning work and a fabulous mix of stencils and stamping - so much work and it really is beautiful! Will try to catch up some more tomorrow. I didn't link the latest card to the C.A.Scene challenge because I thought the mountains need to be stronger? Got a couple of more up my sleeve that will fit though. Am resting now, being good and not crafting - I get bored when I don't craft lol! Will go get the House Mouse decoupage sheets so I can do something whilst watching TV, see your tomorrow Karen x
