Scilla the Fairy

Morning lovely peeps - hope you are well! I'm feeling good and will be attending my last two bootcamps this weekend - can't wait to get off this high protein diet but it has made me feel really well!  I'm very excited about the card I've got to share with you today- its all just come together nicely and I'm really pleased with it. It features a digi called Scilla the Fairy which you can get here Digital-Fairies from Crafty Sentiments Designs and I think she's stunning:

The verse is from the wonderful Barbara Gray - Clarity stamp. There's another thing - just booked on a miniworkshop with Barb at the Harrogate show - I'm so excited and can't wait to actually work with the lady herself.

Anyway - back to my card - My digi was coloured with promarkersand I've put filigree marks with a glue pen on the wings and then glittered them - I'm not sure if it shows up in the picture. The card is an easel card that I've covered with basic gray paper and added some very ancient skeleton leaves from my stash and some leaves I cut out from hunky dory toppers. I think thats all.

I'd like to enter my card for the following challenges:
CSDcraftysentiments: Autumn colours
Delicious Doodles:deliciousdoodleschallenge Autumn colours/scenes

Life's a journey

Good morning all you lovely crafty people out there in blogland. Hope you are all feeling well and are able to visit a macmillan coffee morning today. We've got one on that I shall be doing the teas and coffees for from 10-12 at my kids school - then it will be time for gardening club - feels like I'm working there some days!!!!

I've got another new Sheena (new to me) stamp to share with you today - but I'm not too sure about my card - its a bit of a mish mash of everything and I don't feel it quite gels - there are elements of it I love but the whole ensemble - well I'll let you see what you think! Its the work of my lovely crafternoon with my mum yesterday....

I started by stamping my tag with the sheena stamp then distressed it using DI tea dye.I used my mums splodgeaway mat - what a fabulous item - I must have one!!!  Then I sprayed my pure sunshine dylusion spray onto my clock mask onto kraft card. when dry I distressed the clock too and cut it out. The mat behind the bike and tag on the left is kraft card embossed with a couture world map embossing folder. At the back is some Tim Holtz paper distressed further with tea dye. The words were printed out on the computer and distressed and the gears were cut by spellbinders dies. The wooden goodies are from crafty emblies - and the netting formerly held sweet potatoes!

I'd like to enter my mish mash into the following challenges:
TSBthestampingboutiquechallengeblog: Embossing

A new Sheena stamp

Good morning all you lovely people out there in blogland! Thanks for dropping by into my little corner of the world - I do hope you'll enjoy your visit!

I'm glad to report that the rain wasn't so bad yesterday and the river has ebbed! Hopefully the same is true where you are too.

A few weekends ago there was a fabulous half price offer on Crafters Companion for everything Sheena - well I had a little splurge and this is the first of my cards I've made with my new goodies. Its bright - you might need your sunnies!

told you it was bright! I created the background using pan pastels - red, yellow and green. Then I stamped over using archival black ink, then touched up a few colours here and there in the image.
The Happiness quote came with the stamp set - and I think its very true - plus I also think it went with the colours on the card so I kept it in. The dragon fly is one from a sheet by indigo blu and the flowers are all WOC. The mesh behind the picture is from my stash.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
simonsaysstampschallenge: Anything goes
thepapershelter: Anything goes
deepoceanchallengeblog: More than 2 colours
stampinfortheweekend: Feeling floral
Fat pagesfatpageswithattitude: Anything goes

Thanks for dropping by - I'm hoping to have a crafternoon with my mum today - I wonder what we'll make!

My sister-in law Tracy has a birthday coming up so I've made her this card using a bugaboo image - hope she's not offended!

Bliss

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers. I hope you are fit and well? I'm feeling fabulous and looking forward to a new day of fun! Last night my rainbows were a little lively - but we did have fun! We've just started a Wallace and Gromit challenge and that seemed to go down quite well!

Anyway today is project 1 with my dylusions. Its a wall hanging called 'Bliss'.

I started with two cardboard hearts that I bought at a show (Doncaster) - then I got my dylusions out and sprayed them both yellow - front and back, then oversprayed with green (cut grass) using another creative expressions mask - (dragonflies). I then made the flowers via Hels Sheriden's method with the small 6 petal flower from the Tim Holtz tattered florals dies and papers by woodware. The wooden dragon flies are by crafty-emblies and the moon has been cut using a spellbinders die. I've strung them together with some yellow ribbon.

I'd like to enter this piece into the following challenges:

Playing with Dylusions

Good morning all - I hope you are well and happy! I am both - I think my fasting yesterday was very a very valuable experience - it wasn't even too hard!

Well last night I had the chance to play with my dylusions - I only have two colours until Christmas when I'll be getting 6 more - so I apologise in advance - I think they may become a regular feature - love them to bits - they're so easy to use and the colours are just fab. Anyway - my second make - you get to see my first tomorrow - is a journal page featuring a two characters from the scrapbook stamp society called Eleanor and pickles. Pickles is the frog in the back pack and Eleanor is the girl in the unfeasibly large glasses. She's by Heather Valentin and was a freebie. See Heather's Purimagination blog for details -.here

this is the reverse of the front cover for my happy troll journal (here). I've sprayed the whole page in the yellow dylusions then added a butterfly and flower mask from creative expressions and sprayed in green dylusions. That created the background - then I coloured Eleanor and pickles in promarkers and cut her out. I stamped the letters using the current clarity classroom set from create and craft using butterscotch adirondack as the filler - then stuck eveything on the journal page and added the daisies (from Duck pond Crafts).

I'd like to enter Eleanor and Pickles into the following challenges:
lexiscreations: Anything but a card
IDIC:robynsfetishchallengeblog Back to school
scrapbookstampsocietychallengeblog: Jounalling
craftpunked: Pets
anythingbutacard: Texture
thestampingboutiquechallengeblog: Back to school

Hope you have a great Wednesday - I start back with rainbows tonight - we're starting a wallace and gromit challenge badge so I'm very excited! It'll be good to see how the new rainbows fit in and how the group has changed since the older girls left for Brownies!

Big inky hugs

DT post for LEJ Designs: sparkle and shine

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers. I hope Tuesday has been kind to you so far. And to me. I'm scheduling this post on Monday evening amidst the smell that is pickling! I managed to get all the picalilli made but the smell still lingers - not good! Anyway - less waffling and on with my post.

Over at LEJ Designs challenge blog there is a new challenge - its called sparkle and shine and you can find it here. We have two prizes this week - the first is 3 digis from LEJ Designs - see here.

The second is 5 digis from our sponsor this week - Digi Darla - see here.

The jackpot of LEJ digis was won last week by a participant that used an LEJ image. So anybody using one this week will go in a draw to win 1 digi of their choice.

I've made two cards for you to look at today - the first using a digi Darla image and the second using an LEJ image.

Both images were coloured with promarkers - I've used liquid pearls on the 2nd one to produce the bubbles and the background papers are from crafty individuals.

I'd like to enter my dancing cat card for the following challenges:

Sketch 22: DT post for Seems a little Sketchy

Good morning to all you lovely people in blogland. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - we had a lot of rain yesterday - which meant a very muddy bootcamp! Still enjoyed it - I must be a bit crazy!

Today I've got my first DT Card to share with you for seems a little sketchy - the sketch is below.

The prize this fortnight is supplied by Sassy Studios - and it is 4 digis. There are some amazing digis over there - check them out here.

Buy Sassy Studio DesignsI've used the digi called 'polka dot bikini - I think she's stunning and she was a dream to work with! I saw here when I was commenting on a few challenges back in the summer(?) - well when I saw who the sponsor was for this challenge I just had to have this image - she's my favourite at the moment!

Why not check out the other DT girls and what they've made too by visiting here.
I coloured my image with promarkers and used a variety of goodies from my stash including the papers and shells and ribbon.

I'd like to enter my beautiful lady into the following challenges:

Lilac and lace

Good morning all my crafty friends and followers - this is a scheduled post - when this comes out I should be on my way back from boot camp - ready for another fun packed day with the family!

I made this card yesterday - I used Jacquline's sketch from the Friday sketch challenge and the theme Lavender and Lace from Marianne at Winter Wonderland Challenge. This is what I did:

The image is clearly a wild rose studio one, Bella the elephant in pot, and the papers are also WRS. The lace I think was from fantastic ribbons, the sentiment is hunkydory and the beads and flowers are from a flower kit I used to subscribe to. I've coloured the image with promarkers and added sparkle to the ele's hat.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

jandccreationschallenge: Cute Christmas
Winter Wonderlandchristmasblogchallenge: Lilac and Lace
fridaysketchchallenge: Jacqueline's sketch
Allsorts CBallsortschallenge: Purple Passion.

I've got my first DT Card for Seems a Little Sketchy tomorrow - so hopefully I'll see you all then! Thanks for dropping by and hope you have a fabulous day!

autumn harvest

Evening all! Well I'm much later than usual today - life just conspired against me - but I've had a lovely day with the family so I'm not grumbling - went to bootcamp first thing this morning and that was good - and spent the rest of the day at a park, then a soft play area. Lots of fun!

As a result of my visit to the soft play I did manage to get two cards made - one I'm posting now and the other I'll schedule for the morning! Now you can't take messy stuff to soft play so I've not had chance to play with my dylusions yet - but it will happen soon!!!

Here's what I made:

The image is a digi from Crafty sentiments designs called 'annabel the witch' - I was lucky enough to win her at a challenge over there last week and since this week its all about leaves I thought she was the perfect autumn image to go with leaves. She's coloured with promarkers and I've added lots of leaf diecuts which are a combination of spellbinders for the single leaves and marianne creatables for the multileaf. I've mounted my image onto kraft card that I wrapped with twine. The corners are diecuts from hunkydory.

I'd like to enter my annabel into the following challenges:

CSDcraftysentiments: Leaves
Crafty Catzcraftycatzweeklychallenge: Brown and orange
CACBcraftyannschallengeblog: Autumnal
DYSUdoyoustackup: Kraft and twine
Digi design challengedisdigidesignschallenge: 1 or more diecut or punch
Fab 'n' funkyfabnfunkychallenges: Harvest festival

Back with my other make tomorrow. Hope Saturday was good to you and thanks for visiting!

My little darlings scrapbook page

Morning all! Well it was a fabulous day today at the Manchester show. It wasn't too busy - and there were enough papercraft stalls to make it interesting. I ended up buying a daylight lamp (with my dear hubbie's money so its for Christmas) - some dylusions sprays and some inkylicious stamps. My mum had a good day out too which was great!!!

I've got another scrapbook page to share with you today - this time featuring my girlies in their dance outfits from the summer show.

I've used mostly products from Imagination Crafts. I've used a mask and their sparkle medium to create the bottom border and their butterfly decoupage stamp to create the tag and also the butterfly to make all the butterflies in the sky. I've added buttons to the butterfly wings and a bow on the tag base. There are also gems on the tag butterfly.

I'd like to enter my tag into the following challenges:
The Happy Scrappersthehappyscrapperschallenges: Buttons and Bows
Totally Papercraftstotallypapercrafts: Butterflies, buttons and Bows
Jellypark: jellyparkchallengesAll about the Children
Fat Pages:fatpageswithattitude Buttons and Bows (not sure if this counts as its a scrapbook page - just delete my entry if not!)
Whoopsi Daisycutedaisymay: Buttons and Bows
Tuesday Throwdowntuesdaythrowdown: Use Gems
Paperake weeklypapertakeweekly: Things that make you go awwwwww
mmcsmymumscraftshopchallenges: buttons

I'm hoping to have a play with my new dylusions sprays at some point tomorrow - so hopefully I'll be back with something funky on Saturday!
Have a wonderful Friday - and thanks for dropping by! I do love to read your comments - they really do make my day!

Hugs Rachel xx
