Happy scrapping!

Hello there - well its time for post number 2 for today - I don't know whether its a good idea - but my girls are now creating with their play dough in the dining room - I wish I hadn't cleaned up there already today!!!! Bless them though - Gramps's cards are already made and they still want to create!

This is a scrapbook page of my good friend Danielle and her daughter Daisy - the photo was taken in February when Daisy was only 12 days old - we were at the christening of another baby Joseph who had been born in October!

I've used the layout from the thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge - I'm not sure if I can enter a scrapbook page but I will if I can! I'd also like to enter it into the rainbowladyschallengeblog where the topic this week is memories and the first challenge over at scrapbooking only site  thehappyscrapperschallenges where anything goes this month! If I'm able to I'll also enter it into Girly Girl at jellyparkchallenges and Girly Girls at thecraftypad.

See you all bright and early tomorrow for the new challenge over at LEJ Designs! Probably take me until then to tidy up the mess I'm about to find!

Love and hugs!

Christmas in May

Good morning all! Thankyou so much for all of your kind comments and ongoing support - they really do mean alot to me - especially on a grey bank holiday Monday - what else would it be hey??? I've set my two girls off crafting - they've both got a birthday card to make for their gramps so hopefully I'll be able to get this done.

I was up in my little attic last night crafting away  and so I've got two posts to share with you today and this first one is a Christmas card - I've had the stamp I used in this card for a long time now - it came in a TSV from QVC - stamps from Kanban - anyway - here is its maiden voyage out of the packet - and I'm wondering why I haven't used it before now!

I've used some papers from my stash and hunkydory sentiment, the image is kanban.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sparkles Christmas Challenge: Trees
Mishelflo Challenge Blog: Celebration
Chocolate, coffee cards: Sketch
Winter wonderland: Photo inspiration (I've taken the colour)
Crazyhazlenuts christmas challenge: Stripes (mesh stripes and also glitter stripes on my angels' wings!).

I'll be back later with a scrapbook page! Hope you have a good day!

Feeling Blue?

Hello there all of my crafty friends - I've got that Friday feeling today - but I do have a blue card to share with you - hence the title of this post! Its a pretty girly one - so I hope you'll like it!

The image has been stamped then coloured using promarkers and glitter added after the colouring was complete. The image is, of course LOTV, and the papers are a combinations of of stash materials and prima meadowlark. I've used a cuttlebug embossing folder to create texture on the RHS and the ribbons and blooms all come from the ribbon and bloom kit from duck pond crafts this month (thanks karen!!!!). Finally I've used a spellbinders fleur de lys rectangle to cut out the image and pins and pearls/gems to add extra highlights.

Hope you like this cheeky card as much as I do and that if you are feeling blue, its put a smile back on your face!!!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Cutie pie challenge Blog: Monochromatic cutiepiechallenge
Divas: Monochromatic divasbydesignchallenge
Passion for promarkers: Bright and Light promarkerchallenge
I love promarkers: Fairies ilovepromarkers.blogspot.co.uk

Simon says stamp with pins and pearls.

Are you reddy?

Morning all (just!)

I hope you are all well and happy - just a little thankyou for all the comments you have been leaving - I really do appreciate them!

Phew! Well the last two days have been a little hectic getting both of these DT posts out - but now I think I'm happy with the process I can relax and enjoy them!

I've got a card to share with you today that was generated last night - I has bought a new set of chocolate baroque stamps - I couldn't believe the service - it was amazing - anyway here's what I did with them:

Its my friend's 40th birthday coming up so I thought it would be a good idea to make a card for her whilst I was having a play! I've used distress inks (barn door and fired brick) to make the background then stamped with the chocolate baroque stamps around the edge. I used a skecth by Cordine over at the Sketchy Challenges then added the black paper. The red papers were then stamped on again and finally I made the tag using pan pastels then distressed the edges with black soot after atamping. Added the flowers and the gems!

I hope my friend likes it!

I'd like to put this card into the following challenges:
The sketchy challenges: Cordines Sketch
Sunday Stamper: Red
Sundays with Crissy: things with wings
Anything goes challenge blog: Things with wings
Hopefully see you soon!

GDT post for Dudetime Doodles: Its Sports day

Hi there! I was lucky enough to be asked to be the guest designer over at dudetimedoodles for May -and here's my first card. The challenge is called 'its sports day'.

Its such a fabulous image that I've used -this one is called John Jogger and you can buy this digi and may other fun images here from bonibleaux designs.

I coloured my digi using promarkers and and made the card using a kanban card blank which I partly covered in papers from a freebie stack in quick cards a few issues ago. I stamped the grass on the road verge using a sheena douglass stamp from when she was at creative expressions in cactus green staz-on. The road is just pearlescent grey paper and the sentiment was stamped in black staz on.

I've made this card for one of my neighbours birthdays - and would like to enter it into the following challenges:
On the street where you live: Rainbow lady challenge
http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/challenge-202-on-street-where-you-live.html

http://herecometheboysblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/challenge-26-hobbies.html
One for the Boys: That craft place.

LEJ Designs DT card: Challenge 1

Morning all! I'm setting this blog post to happen tomorrow morning when lejdesignschallengeblog goes Live.  Its the first week of the challenge so its an Anything goes challenge to get you all started. There are two prizes up for grabs - some images from LEJ Designs and an adhesive pack kindly donated by sponsor Mishelflo Challenge Blog here - which also launches on 1st May. This is the card I've made using one of the very talented Lyndsay's designs called Suzejo and her worms. You can buy the image at lejdesigns - pop over and have a browse!

Now my card:

I've called this one Mucky Kid because the image just reminded me of that old song from the sixties or seventies - I think it was Cilla Black - 'Oh you are a mucky Kid - dirty as a dustbin lid!!!!' My mum and dad used to sing it to me quite a lot when I was young - because I always was up to my eyes in mud!!!!
Anyway back to the card - the papers are from the current simply cards and papercraft, the flowers are prima flowers and the ribbon came from duck pond crafts ribbon and blooms kit. The buttons are from my stash. I've used a spellbinders die to cut out my suzejo image and coloured her with promarkers.

She is a DT card but I'd like to enter my mucky kid into the challenge over at Divas by design - Buttons and bows
http://divasbydesignchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/challenge-32-buttons-andor-bows.html

Pop along to LEJ Designs challenge blog http://lejdesignschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ and join in the fun! There are prizes - and I think I mentioned its an Anything goes theme this week.

Hugs

Rachel xx
