icicles at christmas card club

Hello there! Its Christmas card club time again and the theme this fortnight I think is icicles. Neither my mum nor I had the right stuff to follow this theme so we both opted for anything goes. I used my new'ish' stamps from pink ink and made two brightly coloured cards...

I thought the fancy things at the top looked a bit icicle like!!! And my mum thought the same about the stamped images at the top of her card! Mum used chloe stamps.

Hope you have a great day!

non - paper makes

Good morning - huge apologies for being such a bad blogger - when not at work I have been making samples for the telly ....but I did manage a glass workshop a week ago and this is what I made...

I think he came out rather well - it was a copy of one done by my friend Anne who runs Arkglass... not up to her standard of course but not bad at all!

I have a plate I made over the summer at Pottyroos too - I love this stamp so much and was thrilled with the outcome of my painting...

I just need to decide where he's going to go!

Big hugs

Off to work now!

A brilliant class with Jo Rice

Hello there! I can't believe its already been a week since I went to a fabulous Aall and Create class with Jo Rice in Carnforth - it was such a lovely day - we made a folder from scratch and used Aall and create stamps that we already owned to decorate it. Here's mine which I was super pleased with - I am going to use it to store my smaller sets of aall and create stamps!

As always it was the company that really made the day for me - lovely time indeed!

tall tales and fish scales

Hello there - I am posting for Countyview challenges today - its my challenge - under the sea. My inspirational post today involves a picture of my Penny as a mermaid. She has always loved mermaids and had the opportunity at Center Parcs this summer to be one - and the photo that they took is the source of my inspiration for my project.

Having fussy cut the Penny mermaid out I started a canvas using another paperartsy stencil and some opaque paste.

Once dry I used paperartsy paints and cut and dry foam to colour the background.

Next I turned to jane-davenport-artomology-spellbinders-washi-mermaids and cut some parts out and added them to the background along with the mermaid photograph using mod-podge glossy.

I then added a few sequins and repainted the vegetation!

I hope I have inspired you to make a collage!

Under the Sea at Country view crafts

Hello there! How are you? Its the first of September - wow - scary - especially since I'll be back to work tomorrow! Yikes! How fast did July and August go?  Good thing though is that we have a new challenge at Countryview Crafts and this month its my theme and I have chosen 'Under the Sea' ...every time I say that I start singing the Disney song! Anyway - I would like to see your underwater themed makes. I decided to make a canvas - its A4 in size and I used a new paperartsy-large-stencil and also another stencil plus opaque texture paste.

Next I applied lots of paints with my fingers - oh I love getting messy!!!

Whilst drying I stamped out pink-ink-designs---a5-clear-stamp---sea-turtle on card and coloured it with pencils. Then I added some stamping on the board - I used stamps from the pink ink set but also a few from visible-image-clear-stamp-set---create-your-calm. I added some glitter pen ink to the vegetation and also some of the stamped images.... Here's how it ended up.

I hope I have inspired you to join our challenge! You could win a voucher for £20! You can find more inspiration and link up here.
Big hugs
