CCC: words

Hello there! How are you? I hope you are good? We are good - still busy but good! We enjoyed a day at at the Happy Stampers at Port Sunlight yesterday. It was lovely to catch up with so many peeps.... Lesley, David and Judith from Chocolate Baroque, Keren Baker, Jo Rice, Linda Simpson, Lou Withers, Kay Halliwell Sutton, Freda, Lisa and Angie from Cumbria Crafters ....and so many more lovely folk. I spent too much as usual but due to the lack of paperartsy being their I did come home with pennies this year! A first!!!

Last night I went to see Three Sisters by Chekov performed by a local drama group - an excellent performance of a complex play! Very good!

And so to today - its Carol's choice at CCC and she has chosen 'words as focus' ... Time beat me on this one - I had hoped to do 4 cards but only managed to complete two! I decided to be 'on trend' and use the large letters dies!

The stamped backgrounds are both from Chocolate Baroque....one is a big bold background stamp whilst the other is from the year of stamping range!

This is the year of stamping stamp - I suspect its for December - I cut the letters then coloured using aquapens. I have added sparkle to the letters but this is not showing up so well on the photo.

This is the big bold background stamp again cut then coloured with aquapens.

I hope you have a great Sunday - I am knitting this morning and then set painting this afternoon! I am working all day tomorrow!

Big hugs!

Rachel xx

  13. These are just stunning. I love how you've done the technique with the die (Can't remember what that is called, but it's SO effective on both of your beautiful cards). I like the multi-levels of your pretty backgrounds too. So glad you had a great time at a good show, and got to meet up with some good friends. That's the way to truly enjoy a craft show. TFS & Have a good week. Happy Mom's Day
