Today the choice of our Valery over at Christmas Card Club is Robins - those cute little birds associated with Christmas for many. I am lucky enough to see them year round in my garden. Me and my girls name them after some of the dear departed family members we have. 'Daddy' robin is the favourite but we also have grampsy robin, daddad robin and Mischief robin! Its keeps us happy!
Anyway I managed to have some inky fun with this theme and make some cards too.
This first one has been stamped onto a background I already had ready. The stamp is from crafty Individuals and was uninked before this card was made! Such a shame but now I know I love it!!!
A more traditional approach with this robin from Sheena Douglass....
The brushos came out for this robin also from Crafty Individuals ....
and again with the background for this topper I made using a sheena stamp.
I am getting quite a stash of cards already and feel very good about that!
Big hugs and hope you have a happy day!

Hi Rachel, beautiful flock of Robins! My Hobby Art Robins were uninked before this challenge too, lol. A great selection of very different cards. Hugs, Shaz X

ReplyDeleteGosh you have been a busy girl. Great robin cards. Your stash is mounting !! Christine x
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you were able to get out to the craft show despite the weather. What a delightful story about naming your garden robins. It's a lovely way to remember your loved ones, I think. Loved each of these lovely card with the beautiful robin as it's centerpiece. The brusho background especially grabbed my eye, but loved each rendition of the gorgeous Robin! TFS & have a good week.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a collection of cards and all so different. I have a couple of Crafty Individual stamps which could well be robins but as I have never used them not sure. Oh dear naughty step here I come! Lol. We have a pair of robins visit the garden and think they are a mating pair as one is a lot smaller than the other. Hope you managed to get to your show ok. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Rachel, you always create the most amazing backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteI hope you made it to the show.
