Metallics at Countryview challenges

Hello there! How are you? I hope you are well. Today I would like to tell you about a new challenge over at Countryview challenges where we are asking for metallics. It can be metals in many guises. Check out the DT posts here for inspiration.

I decided to use some sheet aluminium that I had picked up at a workshop vastly reduced in price. Here's the final make first then I'll step you through how I made it....

Its pretty masculine! But I am chuffed with it!

To start with I cut a piece of aluminium sheet to roughly A6 size then passed it through my big shot in a texture-fades embossing folder.

Next I painted this with black distress paint and let it dry.

Once dry I sanded the paint back on the parts of the metal that protruded.

I then stamped this image from visible-image. Also I fussy cut the image and added to the embossed metal. The black mat was added too and then I added the whole topper to a red card that I had previously stamped part of the image onto.

Here's my arty shot.

The prize as always is a £20 voucher for countryviewcrafts.

Big Hugs

Rachel xx
