Uncle Bernards Card

Hello lovelies! Well I was super excited yesterday - I went on the weigh in scales and would you believe it - I had managed to lose all my christmas weight and was back at the weight I was in October when I was last weighed! I'm well chuffed as I had a sneaky weigh in last week in an evening and I had gained rather a lot over christmas ..... now just need to keep things on track so I can lose the extra stone I'm carrying that I don't need!!! I hope you're all managing to banish that Christmas tummy too!!!!

Today I want to share with you a card I've made for my uncle Bernard - I know - two days in a row with mens cards - this one is using my lovely new steampunk birds I purchased from Chocolate Baroque in their fabulous sale! I think it might even still be on - 20% off everything!!!

I've used two stamps from the steampunk birds sheet - and coloured them with my speccies and fussy cut them. The background I created using a crafters companion embossing folder that I wiped over with a platinum ink pad and then used a mask and some black embossing paste to create the cogs etc.. Finally I added the words from dylusions. I mounted this onto a card made from centura pearl card swiped over with a silver ink pad.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Country View Crafts:countryviewchallenges Monochromatic
Fussy and Fancyfussyandfancychallenge: Monochromatic
Penny'spennyschallenges: AG
Inky Chicksinkychicks: AG
PTWpapertakeweekly: AG option of something new - my stamps
craftroom challengescraft-roomchallenge: Inspired by - steampunk feel and metallic elements.

Thanks so much for dropping by today - please check out my candy if you haven't already - that will be closing tomorrow.

Big Hugs to you and wishing you a great Saturday!

Rachel xx
