DT Post for Creative Inspirations: Anything but a card

Hello there! Did you have a good Tuesday yesterday? Mine was fine - it started with the dentist then I managed to craft with my mum and finally craft in the evening in my attic - so lots of crafty time!!!! I wasn't feeling too tired either - my interval training was pretty tame - I hope it improves - its got potential though!!! The best thing about it was going on the body composition scales and learning that my metabolic age is just 29!! Ha - I wish!!!

Today at cinspirations Creative Inspirations we have a new challenge starting - its 'anything but a card'. I've gone all arty on you today - as soon as I saw the challenge I knew I wanted to use the dressform that I picked up at the Manchester show in February. Here's what I did:

I painted the dress form first of all with green acrylic paint. Then I stamped stars around the edge and added the green script paper to the body back and front. Then I cut the wings with spellbinders dies in TH ranger metallic sheets and added paper to make the wings larger.  The main flower was made from TH tattered floral dies as was the one on the bottom. The one on the base was cut from a spellbinders die. The wish ticket has been stained with shabby shutters distress stain and the metallic flower was painted with acrylic paint and added to the ticket.

I'd like to add my arty dressform into the following challenges:

Bearly Minebearlymine-challenges: Spring Flowers
AIartisticinspirationschallenges: ABAC
Crafty Embliescrafty-emblies: AG
Sunday Stamperpinkleart: Paint
AGCBanythingchallenge: Heavy Metal

Hope you have a good Wednesday - I'm running this morning - looks like its going to be wet - then its time to organise my rainbows session for tonight and do some chores. We're painting a tower tonight for our scarecrow - should be fun!!!!!

Thanks for dropping by and hope to see you again soon!

Hugs

Rachel xx

  11. Hi Rachel, your dress form creation is amazing, I love it! The wings look fabulous the way you have layered them and I love the colour tones you have used. It is certainly a winner in my book...... still suffering with the horrible bug but at least the sun is shining here! Hugs, Anne x
