a corner turned and anything goes with the option of a sketch at Creative Inspirations.

Morning Lovelies - I'm feeling much more positive today - Shaun just seemed so much better yesterday - they fixed his rib cage back together yesterday and hopefully that means things are all going to be good now in his chest. They've also started to wean him off the gas part of the bi vad machine thats pumping the blood around - and he's responding well. There's still a long and twisted road ahead of us but I still feel very positive. Thankyou so much for your comments and best wishes - you are all very kind and I will never forget the kindness I have felt over the last few days.

Onto todays post - its a new challenge over at Creative inspirations - I'm taking a break from the challenge blog after this week - I need to focus on Shaun and the girls but I will be back with them as soon as possible. Anyway I used the sketch from the blog this week and an image from Robyn's Fetish.

I made the background using distress inks and the panel I embossed with an embossalicious folder then swiped a staz on over the top. The image was coloured with spectrum noir pencils.

I hope you enjoy your day and thanks again so much for your support.

Big Hugs

Back to school at Creative Inspirations

Hello Lovelies! How are you today - I hope you are well. I'm okay. Resting those achilles - except for a swim yesterday - that should help! I'll be going to the gym today but just doing weights. Anyway - on with todays post:

This week's challenge at creative inspirations is Back To School!

This week's prize is from CLASSY CRAFTS and they are offering the Winner a £10 Gift Certificate!

Here's my make - I'm not too pleased with this one - it was made in a bit of a hurry and I think that shows! The stamps used are from Sheena Douglass and Lyndsay Mason.

The embossing folder I used is from Sheena douglass and is great for this time of year. The stamping on the main background is from the stampset The Chemist by Tim Holtz.

Thanks for looking today.

Big hugs

Traditional Christmas colours at Creative Inspirations

Good morning all! I hope you are well and feeling rested! I'm looking forward to a nice day today - not too much rushing around to do and I might evenn get some crafting done - Lol!!!! Yesterday was lovely - I was fortunate enough to see both my girls in their school play twice. I took my mum in the morning and went with Shaun in the evening. Here's a quick pic of Penny that my friend put on facebook - not downloaded my camera pics yet!!! She played the innkeeper along with the little boy Finley - and they were singing 'put the full signs out, pull the vacant signs in - to the tune of the hokey cokey!!! Brilliant!

Over at Creative Inspirations this week's challenge is Traditional Christmas Colours Only! Yes this means that we now ONLY want to see Red, Green & Gold! Oops - my card may have a few extras - but its dominantly red and green!

Here's my card using one of the Mimi images from the Stamp Fairy.

I've coloured her with promarkers and added glitter - then cut with a spellbinders die and distressed the edges whilst still in the die. The background card came from a pack from Crafters Companion and the flowers are partly from WOC and some older flat ones that came from an old ribbon and blooms kit club I used to belong to. The ribbon is a very old piece of stash and I think it came from QVC and is a DCWV sticky ribbon.

Christmas in August for Creative Inspirations

Hello there, how are you? I'm feeling good and ready for another day. Lucy and Penny are off to Mad Science again today so I'm looking forward to a bit of peace and time to do stuff! I'm running with my friend Sue again today so I'm looking forward to that.

Over at Creative Inspirations (cinspirations) the challenge this week is Christmas In August! We would like to see Christmas creations only!

This week's prize is from us and is the chance to be our GUEST DESIGNER FOR SEPTEMBER!

Here's what I did - I used stamps from LOTV to make this card.

First I made a background - I stamped snowflakes with versamark and used white and blue embossing powders on them. Then used DI and dylusion sprays to make up the remaining background. I used a script stamp to make up the next layer and finally had painty fun with some Distress paints and once dry I stamped the deer onto here. The ribbon is from Creative Expressions and the snowflakes are crafty emblies painted blue with Distress paints. I've added some beadazzles to the centre of these.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

LOTV August challenge:ideastoinspire Make it festive
LEJ:lejdesignschallengeblog Nature Inspired
Fashionistafashionistachallenge: Christmas in August
CHN extra challengecraftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.: AG
PIO:pileitonchallenge No designer paper
LLFliliofthevalleythursdaychallenge: Vintage/shabby Chic

Thanks for dropping by and for any comments you choose to leave - I love to read them all! Big Hugs and hope to see you again soon!
