CCC: window or door

Hello there!

How are you? I hope you are well and managing to cope with lockdown as it continues. I must say that on the whole it suits me but I do struggle to get motivated sometimes.... I guess thats very common!

Its Christmas card club again and this time the theme was windows or doors....well my lack of motivation is in evidence .... and I only made one card...oh well I do hope I'll be forgiven!

I used a die, stamp and embossing folder set from crafters companion..... my mum cut me the wreath for the front door... its not very exciting - I apologise!

My mum managed to make two cards... this one using an image from a hunkydory little book....

and this one using a stamped image from Clarity and paper from first edition...

I am looking forward to seeing what everybody else has made!

Big hugs and I will catch up later xxx

  2. Super cards Rachel, I seem to switch from one day to the next - one day I will get up and get loads of things done, other days I achieve absolutely nothing!

  8. Rachel I love your card. It looks like your door actually opens on your card front What a great idea. I only managed to make the four cards because they were all in the same LOTV art pad and I didn't have to think too much. Hope you and the grils and safe and well. Hugs Mrs A.

  10. I think we are all allowed to have a day or two with lack of motivation during these strange times. I find that just because I seem to have all the time in the world, I put off finishing things up. I have made a lot of cards, just have not written the posts yet! Lack of motivation....

Your card is lovely though. That is a great die. I always like things that are versatile. This would be great for a new home card as well as a surprise door for a birthday card.

Your Mum has made two lovely cards. Hunky Dory images are always so perfect for Christmas as they are liberal with the bits of gold or silver that they sometimes outline or detail their images with.
Christmas is the perfect time to be liberal with mirri card and metallic details!

The second card has a welcoming homey feel. So lovely!

Take care to both of you.

Sorry I am so late but it is still morning here on May 11. We had both daughters and family stop by yesterday. They brought lawn chairs and sat on our front lawn. Social distancing strictly in effect. The rules are slightly relaxed here, but other than this special day, we are still keeping to home and following the old way.

We had a great Mothers Day visit as well as celebrated my grandsons 12th birthday. We had them bring their own folding lawn chairs and their own drink/pop etc. That way we did not have to touch anything after they left. We sat up on the porch and I felt like we were on a stage!!!

  12. All beautiful cards and love the embossed wall -I know how you feel a whole free day and nothing done-mind you today I made a victoria sponge cake and had my hair cut as luckily daughter used to be a hairdresser and managed a salon before she left to work in a dementia care home-so luckily in lockdown with own personal hairdresser!
