Hello there - I have to post this early as I already have a post for tomorrow - so here I am a day early for Christmas card club. The theme is Snowmen - love snowmen! Here's my three cards all made using gelli print backgrounds and a stamp set from HobbyArt.

Such a great set - and my mum used it too - here's her make...

and she also used some hunkydory little books to make these...

So lots of lovely snowmen here!

A lovely class with Jo Rice

Evening all! I do hope you are fine and well. Sorry for my lack of posts and commenting - it has been a busy old summer - back to school on Monday for me so maybe things will settle down then. Or not?
Last weekend I had a lovely day with Jo Rice at the regular Lindale meeting. It was a lovely time...and we made 4 super cards using Lavinia stamps.... here's mine...

Our warm up card - simple stamping and masking... plus an envelope ...

card 2 - using the clean up from the gelli plate background for card 3.

The main event - I do so love this - gelli plate background and lots of stamping....

and finally another gelliplate background made by imprinting the inked up plate with  an embossing folder - cool idea - thanks jo!

A great day - Jo is such a good teacher!
I took the girls to Cadbury World on Monday --surfed on chocolate too! Lol!

Another die set from Moonstone

Hello there! I have another post today using moonstone dies and this time the die set is the one called deck-the-halls. I am less happy with my makes for this set of dies - but the making process was fine - I think I am less enamoured by the subject matter - I preferred the village set and the woodland set is also much more me!  Anyway - the dies are simple to use - based on using a specific hunkydory card blank which I didn't have and just managed the way I did with the last die.

In this first one I again made my own card blank and an A4 cutting platform and cut into my card. I also added a backdrop of 'wallpaper' created using ink and a stencil.

In this picture the card is more opened up.

For this next card I used a flat 6 x 6 card and added the diecuts to it - again with the 'wallpaper' backdrop.

I think the cards are quite successful to say I'm not a diecutter - I think I prefer the flat one to be honest. As for the dies themselves, they cut really cleanly!
Thanks again to Hunky Dory for supplying these dies!

CCC: two or more patterned papers

Morning all! Hope you are feeling good. Its Christmas card Club again today and this time the theme is two or more patterned papers - my mum went with the theme but I went with anything goes - I was desperate to use the new sprout stamps from hobby art and this is what I made ...

They are just such a fun set - I adore them! Who wouldn't love a sprout for Christmas???? heehee I know!

Mums cards cover this fortnights theme - here they are ....

On this one she used Sara Davies papers and I think they are first edition dies....

and this one uses the TH tattered poinsettia die and papers from not sure but it might be first edition. My mum did tell me but I deleted the email!

Lucy and I had a great time on Friday - I took her to her first concert - Ed Sheeran at Roundhay park in leeds...it was a great night ..a bit soggy! But Ed was amazing!!!

hare collage for IndigoBlu

Hello there! Well its been a busy few days. My lovely Lucy was 13 yesterday and we had a lovely day out - but more about that later.
I want to share my latest make for IndigoBlu today. Its a collage I made including fabrics and needle felting.

Here's how I put it together .....

First I stamped the image of the hare on soluble paper - I just used the outline to needlefelt it.

No hares were harmed in the making of this!!!

Once made I did a white one too and then rinsed away the paper.

Next I used an IB stencil and IB paint onto a burlap panel...

Stamping of an IB flower onto felt and fussy cutting...

More stamping on felt....

and stamping onto card...

and finally the assembly!

I hope you like it!

Now for some pics of the birthday girl's day!

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, sitting, tree, outdoor and nature

We had a lovely day!

Birthdays Galore

Hello there! Well I've been busy making lots of cards over the last week - there seems to be birthdays galore around here just now - here are two I made using a stamp from Allandcreate....

This one was for my neighbour - he had a big birthday and a bit of a party at the weekend. I used inktense pencils and a water brush to colour the image.

I used the same image cut down and an inky background ....

and here's what I did last week - indoor skydiving - lots of fun indeed!!!

More texture at Countryview challenges

Hello there! Hope you are doing good - today I am over at Countryview Challenges where the theme this month is Texture.. I made a card - this time using the wonderful paperdolls and also some card.
I started with some card from a piece of packaging and peeled some of the cover back to reveal the fab corrugation.

Next I applied opaque paints using my fingers to add more texture as well as colour.

My final texture was applied through a stencil  once the paint had dried....

Lastly I added the boxes and paper dolls and words.... and also added the whole thing to a card.
I hope this has inspired you to join our challenge. You could also be in with a chance to win £20!
