Remember remember the 5th of November

Hello there! Second post of the day and its only 7am! Its time for a new challenge over at stamps and stencils. This time Toni has come up with the theme and here's what she had to say ....

I've got a 'bonfire night' challenge for you this month. As a child, I used to love bonfire night. My dad would come home from work with a box of fireworks and packets of sparklers for us and we couldn't wait to get outside and enjoy the show! I'd love to see your art works based on fire and fireworks. Think bursts of colour. Let rip with the colour sprays, glitter, and paints. Let's have a bit of fun and brighten up these dark days with COLOUR ! Just remember it must be mixed media and include stamps or stencils or even both.

I decided to make a card using stamps from visible image - I stamped with flitterglu and then added flake to the stamped images....

Next I added some pixie powders and spritzed with water ....

Finally I went in with two types of frantage....

I then added to a card blank and added a stamped sentiment again from visible image. Check out more inspiration from my teamies and enter the challenge here.

I do hope you can join us - please remember to use stamps or stencils and mixed media is the order of the day!

Big hugs

  3. A gorgeous card Rachel. Like you my Dad would arrive home on bonfire night with a big box of fireworks and we would get together with our cousins and enjoy the show. That is until one year when a spark hit the fireworks and the whole lot went up at once and nearly took my Dad and Uncle with them, I learn't from a very early age just how dangerous they can be.
