feeling blessed

Hello my lovelies! How are you today? I hope you are well! I'm shattered - its been a big few days but also feeling good. Shaun has been stable for a couple of days now and the consultants seem happy. And I had a lovely day with my girls - well part of the day anyway. We went to Lancaster Castle to have breakfast with santa:

They had such a lovely time and it was so well done - I'll definitely do it again! Tonight I took them to the village bingo. It was a lovely evening and we had lots of fun.

Another thing that has made me feel blessed is my experience yesterday - I went out for a meal with the old Rosemary Conley crowd - we laughed and had lots of fun - and when my friend Julie gave me a lift home she presented me with an amazing hamper - full to the gunnels with everything you need for Christmas - and a lot more beside - plus a box with presents in for the girls and some vouchers for Booths supermarket.

I was absolutely gobsmacked - what a kind and thoughtful thing to do - so amazing - I really am blessed to have such wonderful friends and that includes you lovely people out there who have been so supportive at this tricky time. Thankyou!

No cards today.

Big hugs

Rachel x

  1. To see those sweet smiles, I am sure that has done your heart good knowing that the girls had the best time with Santa and also a bit of light relief for you Rachel because you must be feeling so shattered. An adorable photograph!
What a special gift to receive, incredible thoughtfulness on the part of your friends and a gift that will take a little bit of strain away from you during the build up to Christmas knowing you have a hamper of goodies to hand.
It speaks volumes of how much they care for you and your family.
Continue to keep you all in my thoughts.
    Wishes

  15. Rachel. It's lovely read that Shaun is stable, hopefully this is the turning point and things are on the up, it's a very long climb but keep thinking positively. So glad you were able to have a great fun day with those gorgeous girls, they have been brave and still they are smiling. What a wonderful thoughtful gift, especially when life is so busy for you, that hamper of goodies will make this time of year easier for you, as food shopping will be well down the to do list. This is what Christmas is all about - thinking of others. Take care of yourself Rachel, and be careful out on the roads, I know you must be doing some miles at the moment. Hazel xx
