Hello lovelies - sorry I've been quiet - we got the call on Wednesday morning that a heart was on the way for Shaun. The operation went ahead and was initially very successful. Then his blood pressure dropped rapidly causing him to go into arrest. They brought him back into a good rhythm by manual massage and a shock then he was stable for 12 hours. Then the right side of the heart started to struggle so last night they put him onto ECMO. The aim is to rest the heart and lungs over the weekend and then reduce the support on ECMO come monday. Thankyou so much for all of your kind words on here and on facebook. I really do appreciate it. The consultant says Shaun needs luck and prayers - so please keep praying.
I'm absolutely shattered and will be on Monday......
Anyway - I want to show you a Christmas tag I made using products from foilplay.
I have really enjoyed using the foiling products - they're easy to use and lots of fun.
Going to sign off for now.
Big hugs
Rachel xx
Good evening Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI was so delighted when Hazel phoned to tell me about Shaun.
Will keep him as well as you and the girls in our thoughts and prayers.
Power of prayer is a wonderful thing.
Great tag love everything about it, I like the bow being that colour rather than the usual Red or Green

ReplyDeleteI have been quiet, spending little time on-line to visit my favourite blogs but during my absence I have not forgotten you and all that your family are going through.
It is such a roller coaster and little wonder that you are shattered and struggling to keep mind, body and soul intact with the immense worry you are dealing with. Shaun will continue to be in my thoughts.
Your tag is so beautiful, very serene.
Never forget that we all are sending positive thoughts.
Wishes to you

Rachel. So pleased to hear Shaun is doing so much better, as I keep saying it's the roller coaster ride he has to go on along with your self, yours is an emotional journey, which is a very hard journey as it will catch you up at some point, so take care of your health and try very hard to get some sleep even just an hour here and there. ((((((Hugs)))))). Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteDelighted to hear Shaun is doing better this evening.
