I've been playing with my gelliplate again and todays card is a result of that play:
To make the background I used red, white and brown acrylic paints and printed multilayers using the gelli plate and a mask from That Special touch. Once dry I stamped over it in versamark using a script stamp from crafty individuals and heat set with white wow embossing powders. Then I stamped the CI ducks and fussy cut them and added them to the card. Finally I stamped the CI sentiment and added the white felt hearts to the card and mounted it all up. I love the result! Hope you do too!
I'd like to enter this for the following challenges:

Morning Rachel,
ReplyDeleteLoving that background, I've not invested in a Gelli Plate for some strange reason, but it is on my list for Stamperama tomorrow, along with quite a few other bits.
The white script and ducks against the reds really do make the images pop, yet the background is not lost.
Thanks so much for joining in by blog celebrations with this lovely piece of artwork and good luck when it come to the prize draws.
Tomorrows Wokingham half marathon is cancelled, waterlogged course, now there's a surprise.

Another beautiful card Rachel, I have a Gelli Plate too but haven't had time to play with it yet! I love the colours and the white ducks are so cute. We used to have some Aylesbury ducks, their names were Donald (of course !) Huey, Duey, and Louie Low bottom ( because his bottom always trailed on the ground, nothing wrong according to the vet lol !) Amy, Lucy, Trudie and Matillda. They were such fun but very messy lol ! Have a great weekend Rachel. Hugs Jennifer xx
