Today I've got another Christmas card to show you - this one has largely been inspired by the thefunkiejunkie 12 tags of Christmas challenge sponsored by the thefunkiejunkie boutique. This is my response to the tag from week three and I've used Claritystamps in the making of this card. I've taken my inspiration from the colour of Linda's tag, the word Joy and also the camels and kings.
Its a bit of an exercise in landscaping - - in yellows! Anyway - I started by stamping the NOEL in versamark and adding black opaque wow powders and heat setting. Then I added the camels - first by inking up only the largest camel and adding him to the O - then the other two and adding them outside the O. Then I cut some hills from copy paper and used distress inks (wild honey, spiced marmalade, anitque linen and tea dye) and makeup sponges to create the hills and sky. I masked the hills then sprtized and flicked water on the sky to get the mottled effect. Then I stamped the star on the top left with versamark and added brass regular wow powders and heat set. Finally I added the lace and the put the whole thing onto a 7 inch blank black card.
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
