Onto brighter things! I'm delighted to be able to say that I'm now GDT for thatcraftplace - well for 3 months!!!! So very excited - thanks to Lisa and everybody else on the team for giving me a chance! I'll do my best!!!! Watch this space for my first challenge but why not join in this fortnight where the challenge is use a star.
This week's challenge at creative Inspirations is Anything Goes + Option of A Sketch!
This week's prize is from CEDAR CHEST DESIGNS and is a $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE!
I took this opportunity to use my new stamps from Sheena Douglass - this is my card:
To make this card I stamped the puffin then masked him and stamped the seagrasses and birds. Then I coloured with my speccies and used DI to create the sky. The background card has been torn - the shells stamped and coloured with speccies.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Bearly Minebearlymine-challenges: AG
Incy Wincyincywincydesigns: Male
I've also got a tag to share with you today - this one is for the thefunkiejunkie-12-tags-of-christmas challenge and it was inspired by tag 7. The elements I took from Linda's tag, that you can see by clicking the link above, are the colour brown, the textured background and the poinsettia.
I've used an A4 embossing folder to firstly give the texture to the size 10 tag and then rubbed over the raised areas with rusty hinge Distress ink. The image is from Sheena Douglass and has been coloured with promarkers - wish I'd pained this - I think the colours are too bright. The poinsettias are cut using spellbinders dies and then put together and I've rubbed them with metallic rub. The letters are from Claritystamp.
I'd like to enter this tag into the funkie Junkie week 7 sponsored by thethefunkiejunkie boutique.
Hope you have a great day! Thanks for dropping by today and for any comments you may leave - I'm always touched by the many of you who stop by here regularly and leave some comments - thankyou - it means a lot to me!
See you tomorrow!
Hugs rachel xx
These are gorgeous Rachel. I love the images, wonderful colouring and fabulous detailing.
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar phone call a couple of months ago, lucky I knew it was a scam as I had heard about it on the radio that day but I can see how easy it would be to be taken in by it. Makes me cross too.
I hope you have a good day
hugs Sue xx
I love the card at the top using the fab new stamps from Sheena, and the tag. They're gorgeous Rachel. I've had similar phone calls in the past, I always hang up as soon as the start saying Microsoft and problems with PC. They've even tried it with my Mum, who although she does have a PC, does not have internet. I think they just assume everyone has PC's and internet and go through the phone book.

ReplyDeleteStunning creations Rachel. Sorry to hear about the con engineer. You have to be so careful these days. Hugs Rita xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, thanks for sharing about the con, always good to know the enemy. I get so angry at this type of thing, seems you have to be on your guard all the time these days. Thank goodness for crafting.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and tag, love the top one with the puffin, these are wonderful stamps and your colouring is fab.
Great tag too with fab colours, hugs Kate x
Congratulaions on your Guest DT position Rachel - I really hope it goes well for you and they keep you on.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are gorgeous Rachel and I love that puffin and the flowers - Sheena stamps are at the top of my Xmas wish list lol.
The scammers are horrid, whenever we've had something like that happen it always seems to shake me up badly - so you are not alone hun. They can be so convincing at times. Our bank could not understand why I was not happy with them when my debit card was cloned recently. The only place I used to use it at was the bank cash machine. I don't do that any more - only get cash out if I go into the bank now grr xx
Congratulations, well done on the GDT spot. Great card, love the image and fab tag too
ReplyDeletecongrats on the GDT spot and a great card so pretty and love your tag too, watching for that first stamp up :) bet it will be gorgeous

These are gorgeous Rachel, love the puffin one especially. We have had problems with a scam involving pay pal saying they can't pay the payment. So we don't use it now. Hazel x
