Inspired by Tim Holtz

Hello there! Wow it the first March - how did that happen??? I hope you're ok? We're good and looking forward to a new challenge over at countryviewchallenges - this time we want to see what you make that is inspired by Tim Holtz! Oh my I didn't know where to start with this one - so what I did was ask my daughters what they thought of when I mentioned Tim Holtz .... now amazingly Lucy said dark colours and a man in a top hat with a monocle and cogs, Penny said tags ....so thats where todays project comes from!

I used browns - Tim always talks about when he started the distress range he wanted browns --- obviously a colour close to his heart! In the background I used a large stamp flourish. My man comes from the time-travelers-travellers-stamp-set set I have fussy cut him and added him. Next came the cogs cut from TH thinlet die-set-22pk---gearhead dies in distress cardstock. Finally the text came from a stamp from another stamp set of TH that I can't find in the catalogue - sorry!

Here's a slightly closer look!

I do hope you can join us - I will be going for a much more feminine approach later in the month - if this doesn't inspire you to join in hopefully that will!!!

Big hugs

Rachel x

  7. Wow a stunning tag and how nice for you that the girls are interested enough to know who Tim is and what his style is too. My daughter hates crafting and would say Tim who if I asked her a question about him.
