Good morning all! How are you today - I hope you are feeling well and happy - and if not here's a big hug ....huggle huuggle huggle .... Hope thats better! I'm feeling a bit tired - but will be back on form soon I hope.
Before I launch into todays post I just want to tell you about something thats happening at the weekend - there's going to be a mini release on the 9th and 10th of June at Crafty Sentiments and the DT work for this release will be on the Inspirational blog on those days.
Today I've got a house mouse card to share with you made using the triple house mouse CD Rom that I was very lucky to win from the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog. I couldn't believe my luck! Anyway - here's the first card I've done using the CD. I'm not really a CD crafter but it does come in handy and I just love this CD - the only problem was which image and paper to choose. I decided to try to fit the themes of the current house mouse and Joanna Sheen challenges - and this is what I came up with:
The decoupage image and bottom papers are both from the CD - the top paper was pinched from my mum when I was crafting there the other day - it may have been a first editiion pad from trimcraft. The card is 8x8 inches.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
House Mousehousemouse-challenge: For a male
Joanna Sheenjoannasheenchallenge: Spots and Stripes
Card Crafters Circlecardcrafterscircle: Stripes
Penny'spennyschallenges: Birthdays
Simon sayssimonsaysstampschallenge: Masculine
Here come the Boysherecometheboysblogchallenge: Add a ribbon
Thankyou so much to the Joanna Sheen CB - for this wonderful blog candy - I will get lots of use from it because its so fabby!!!! And thankyou for dropping by today and maybe leaving a message! Big Hugs!
Rachel
p.s. - something special tomorrow - its my birthday and I'll be doing a little giveaway!!!

Commission card for first birthday
Good morning lovelies - well wasn't it a hot one yesterday? Best day so far of this new summer that we seem to be experiencing - not so good for my hill run though - I was terrible. Nevermind - pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try to do better next time!!! It looks like my sponsored matchbox idea has worked well for the PTA too. We've only got about half in so far but think we've already raised about £240 which is excellent news! Fabulous! There were some very strange things in the boxes but the oddest thing had to be a piece of snake skin - imagine!!!! You never know what you're going to get!!!
Today's card is from a commission I managed to pick up on Saturday - for a ladies grand-daughter's first birthday. Here's what I did.
Isn't she the sweetest image? So cute I had to pop over to Mo mannings store and scoop her up - with a couple of other must haves I've seen in the last wee while! I think she's called baby butterfly fairy and I've coloured her with promarkers and cut her out with a spellbinders die and used spun sugar DI around the edge of the die. The papers are from Me to you and the sketch is from sketch and stash where the optional theme was glitter and gems - I managed the glitter part at least.

The border punch I've used is from Martha stewart.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch and stashsketchandstashchallenge: Sketch11 challenge 115
DP2mosdigitalchallenge: Summertime
Incy Wincy:incywincydesigns bring on spring
CBN:craftybloggersnetwork Bright and breezy
NMW challengesnomatterwhichchallenges - bingo - bling, flowers, border punch
Squirrel and foxthesquirrelandthefox: Summer
The ribon girl:ribbongirlsAdd a diecut
AGOACpinkgemchallengeblog: Summertime
ALBCpaulaholifieldcrafts: Something sweet
In the Pinkinthepinkchallenge: AG
I do hope the lady likes it! I think she might!
Thanks for dropping by today and I look forward to reading any comments you leave - they do make my day! Big Hugs Rachel xx

Hope you all have a wonderful day - running for me this morning - then I'll be getting stuff ready for rainbows, catching up with blogs then back off to taking the girls to ballet. We're getting matchboxes in from the kids at school today and counting how many different items they've put in them. Its a sponsored thing to raise funds for the PTA. Myself and the other mums at ballet have been landed the job of counting the contents!!!! That should be interesting!
Thanks for dropping by and I'll try and return as many visits as possible!!!
Big Hugs and see you again soon.

DT Post for Craft - a - scene: June challenge - forest animals
Afternoon all! I hope you are well and if not here's a big hug xxx Hope that helps!
It was a good day yesterday - my fundraiser with my friend Megan went well - she got £233 for Asthma UK and I got almost £60 towards my £300 goal for Asthma Uk. So between us we did really well!!! I also managed to get a few commissions too - and thats got to be good!
Okay so onto this afternoon - there is a new challenge starting with craftascene later today and this month we want to see woodland animals. My first card is a night time scene made using two tree stamps from Sheena Douglass and an owl stamp from Lavinia. The background is made by brayering with DI - chipped sapphire I think it was.
I made the background first masking off the moon and the hill at the base and brayering the sky and the hills. I then stamped the images in black archival and heat set with clear embossing powder.
I'd like to enter this card for the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar challengescraftycalendarchallenge: Things with wings
Totally Papercraftstotallypapercrafts: AG
As you like it:asyoulikeitchallenge Fave Rubber stamp - loving this owl
PCJpaper-craftingjourney: Masculine
OO la laooh-la-la-creationschallenges: Inspired by nature
sssssimonsaysstampandshow: Into the woods
laviniastamps: Lovely Lavendar
Looking forward to a day out with the family today - we should be off to Blackpool Zoo - fun fun fun!
Happy Crafting!
Hugs
