Winter scene at Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well another fortnight has rolled around and this time the theme at Christmas Card Club is a winter scene. I've used a set of Tim colourise dies to make 4 of the same card.

I think I will need to play with this one further - but I do like the effect!
My mum has made two cards.

This first one uses a tree stamp from Chocolate Baroque - and a die.
And this one includes stamps from Card-IO
Great makes mum - well done you!
Hope you have a good Sunday - I've still got lessons to prepare for next week - its been a long old job this week! Hopefully will get some gardening done too - and a chance to play on my turbo trainer that I set up yesterday! Not exciting exactly but useful in getting me cycle fit again!
Whatever you are doing - enjoy!
Hugs

Embrace the Journey at CountryView Challenges

 Hello lovelies!

Well my card for today is the second one I have for the current challenge at Countryview crafts which is ...we will always have Paris.....

To create this I have used two stamp sets from Tim one that you can find here wine-blueprint. The other is part of a set called Cityscapes. I also used distress oxides hickory smoke, aged mahogoney and pine needles plus a stencil from Aall and Create called lotza-diamondz.
I created the card by firstly stamping the Paris cityscape across my 7 inch square card 4 times. I then added the grey stencilling and also stamped the wine bottle and glass. Next I restamped the wine bottle and glass and added colour to the main features using watercolour pencils. Then I fussy cut them and added them to the card.
Lastly I added a little more stencilling in colours to match the bottle and wine to bring the card together more.
Hope you can join our challenge.
Good luck!

Winter sports at Christmas Card club

Hello there! How are you? We're all good here - plodding ever onwards. Time is a strange thing - it can fly at times and at others can really seem to drag in the moment! How does it do that?

Its time for another visit to Christmas Card Club and this fortnight the theme is skating or winter sports. My mum came up with the theme and I really like this one! We both went for very similar ideas... I used my Tim die to make my cards and adhered them to an IndigoBlu stencil background.

As you can see I made 4 of them - so glad I made the effort to do the thread as I think it really adds a certain something.

My mum made two cards using stamps by Chloe and Lisa Horton in her makes.

Like I said - we both thought along the same lines this time!

Hope you have a great Sunday - enjoy whatever it is that you do!

Big hugs rachel xx

playing catch up

Hello there! How are you? Hope you are well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend? Its been good here - got lots of jobs done in the garden - and managed to catch up on a couple of workshops that I should have done last Saturday - still working on the third! The first was with the very lovely Kay Carley, using some of her newest releases.

I can't go through the details with you but suffice to say the workshop was excellent!
My second one was Jo Rice's Pipin and the lamp workshop - another fabulous one from this lovely lady!
Thoroughly enjoyed that one too!
Hope this post finds you well - enjoy the bank holiday tomorrow - weather not looking good but that means I'll be able to craft without guilt so its all good!

We'll always have Paris - new theme for Countryview Challenges

Hello there! Hope you are doing okay! Its a new month and so a new challenge on Countryview Challenges - and this time the theme is 'we'll always have Paris' .... I dug into my collection of Crafty Individuals stamps and came up with this card.

I have used a combination of anique linen and vintage photo distress oxides to create the background and then stamped over that using sepia archival ink. Next I created the topper, stamping the ladies in black and going around the edges in vintage photo distress ink. I then stamped and die cut the tower - using a TH die and stamp set and finally added the small stamped item.
You can join our challenge here.
Have a great day!
