Tims tag June: Live life well

Hello there! How are you today? I hope you are good. Things here have been hectic since my birthday - thanks all for your kind comments both here and on facebook - I really do appreciate it. And to those of you who sent cards - handmade and otherwise - thanks again! You really are very kind. I will try to take a picture of the handmade cards I received very soon and post it here. I've been a bit preoccupied with my dad coming home - he's very low bless him and the dementia really does seem to have got a hold of him at present - he does still have lucid times though which is good. We've been trying to organise a wheelchair for him so we can take him out. I think he will benefit from some fresh air. Lets hope so anyway.

Today I have my take on Tims tag to share with you - I loved the techniques involved in this tag and followed them. They can be found here. Here's Tims original....
2016TAG

Here's mine ...

I used Tims stamps and dies and followed the techniques given ..

You can see the plaid here ...

A more arty shot showing off that button - thanks Anne. The sewing is all by hand - that hurt!!!

I would like to enter this into timholtz 12-tags-of-2016-june

Thats all for today - I am off North tonight for a weekend at Art Workshops in Teeside - its a mixed media weekend with Rikka Kovasin. I'll let you know how it goes next week.

Big hugs

Rachel xx

  2. Great tag, Rachel!!! That was brave to sew by hand... since my sewing machine is out of order for a while maybe I should try the hand-stitching like you :-) Hugs

  10. A fabulous tag Rachel, brilliant stitched border - it was well worth the pain.
We bought a wheelchair for my Mum in the end - you can pick them up quite reasonably on Amazon, it's nice to be able to get her out in the fresh air - good exercise for whoever is pushing her even though she is very light!

  12. Your tag is lovely Rachel, a great take on Tims. I'm glad your Dad's home, and a wheelchair sounds a great idea. My Grandma finally got one at 94 and she got out far more 'cos it was so much easier and people were so much more patient with her than when she was struggling to walk. Have a great weekend and enjoy your workshop xx
