snowy trees at christmas card club

Good morning Lovelies! How are you today? I hope you are doing well! If not sending hugs and wishes for a speedy recovery. We are all good in the Fisher household. My dad is not brilliant - I saw him yesterday when I dropped the girls off - I could have sobbed. He just seemed so frail. He was a little more like himself when I got back from Lindale and we had a few smiles and laughs so that was better. Its so hard seeing him struggling. And my poor mum too! Bless them!

Its Christmas card club today and Christine has chosen the theme Snowy trees - I managed to make 3 cards....

They were variations on a theme but all basically the same.

I used all Tim Holtz products ... dies, stamps and distress inks!

I think this is my fave of the three ...

But I am pretty pleased with them all - basic steps:

1. stamp background trees in versamark and heat set in white embossing powder.
2. Die cut trees in foreground,
3. stamp newsprint stamp in versamark, set with white embossing powder and die cut deer.
4. Create landscape using masks and torn paper and stencil brushes.
5. assemble and stamp sentiment.

I hope you've enjoyed my post today!!!

Big hugs!!!

Rachel x

  12. What a great idea to make three cards especially when the card is as stunning as this one is. I used the same tree die as you did.
These beauties remind me of the children's song - "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong - can you guess what card is not like the others before I finish this song."

  15. Hi Rachel, sorry to hear about your Dad, it's just so hard watching your parents becoming so vulnerable, you want to do so much for them, the way they did for you. And of course your lovely mum suffers too. Getting old can be so damn cruel. It's good you got some smiles today, and hope for more when you see you Dad next.
Fabulous cards, the frosty woodland scene with the deer is brilliant, take care and a big hug, Kate x
