This is the river in my village yesterday - as is this:
I've never ever seen anything like this - It certainly is very scary.
Despite the weather we did manage to make it to the school fair yesterday and I think we will have a bumper result too! Here's a nicer picture from the fair yesterday - my lovely Lucy!
She was very lucky and won a raffle prize - its unusual - its usually Penny who's the lucky one!
Now I want to share with you my tag 10 for thefunkiejunkie challenge-12-tags-of-christmas over at the Funkie Junkie sponsored by thefunkiejunkie boutique.
I started by painting the tag background with brushed pewter distress paint - once dry I added snowflakes using a TH layering stencil and silver wendy vecchi embossing paste. The snowflake was diecut in gold card using a TH die and embossing folder. Finally I added the bow and words.
As well as entering this for the thefunkiejunkie challenge-12-tags-of-christmas
I would like to enter my tag for:
Hope you have a good Sunday - we're hoping to take Lucy to grading for jujitsu but I'll have to wait and see what's happening with the weather first!
Big hugs
Rachel xx

I pray the weather subsides Rachel, we have just the gales but know from the news you have the rain to go with it and it looks dreadful in some parts.

ReplyDeleteHi Rachel I hope the river keeps contained, how scary for you all, keep safe. Your most recent FJ tags are gorgeous, this gold one in particular. I also love the scene you created for CV for Dec, such a great theme and your card showcased it beautifully. Enjoy your trip to Centre Parcs, we had such fun and I highly recommend the archery and the pottery painting. We laughed so much. Hugs xx

ReplyDeleteThankyou for the lovely card . I hsve it in pride of place in the dinning room. Hope you are all safe from the flooding. We have had high winds and rain today but not enough for the flood pond to fill up by the side of our house. Hugs to you and the girls. Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the picture of your little sweetie. She is just such a pretty young lady, and easy to see she had such fun - cute face painting. Hope the high river does not cause problems for your family...scary. And that wonderfully gleaming tag...breathtaking. The silver & gold look so rich together on this tag, and I had no idea there was silver embossing paste! It gleams against the brushed pewter background. TFS & stay dry. Hugs
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of colours and papers in this fabulous design. The floods look terrible but your gorgeous little girl makes up for it. x
