I have a card I made for the chocolate baroque colour challenge this month - here's the banner:
Great colours - I took it as a chance to ink up one of the fabulous flappers. Love them!
I coloured the lady with spectrum noir pencils then masked her off and masked off the edges leaving a horizontal strip showing. Using spun sugar distress ink I covered the strip then used picked raspberry to stamp over it using one of the other stamps from the flapper set. The sentiment is from chocolate baroque also.
Here's a closer look at the lady!
I should like to enter this into the following challenges:
I hope you have a great Tuesday and look forward to seeing what you've all been up to!
Hugs

Wonderful colour palette today Rachel and such an elegant lady isn't she.
ReplyDeleteBeen back to yesterdays post as Blogger was on one when I tried to see it, you asked about die cutting machines. Here's my five penneth if it helps any (I am always accused of going through die machines like most people do a packet of sweets).
I used to love my big shot express (that was the electronic version) two died on me so I went on to a big shot pro. That was far too heavy for me as that went of to Sally and then I went on to a grand calibur, that broke within a year so I got a second one, but when the e.bosser came out I bought that and kept the gc as backup. Best move I ever made and as you can guess the e.bosser gets one heck of a lot of use with all my TL work but is a dream.
So there is the trilogy of my die cutting exploits !

Good morning Rachel,
ReplyDeleteBeauftiful card, love the colours and great colouring.
Die Cutting Machines ........ Bain of my life!!! None are that good IMO however I am enjoying using my new Teal GC at the moment. Tomorrow is another day as they say so we will see.

Beautiful card Rachel, gorgeous colours
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Rachel, I love how the lady appears to be pointing to the sentiment and I love the colours you have used. Good luck with your decision on the die cutting machine! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Rachel, I love the way she is standing in front of the band of colour.
ReplyDeleteI realised after I had left my comment yesterday I did not leave my thoughts on die cutting machines. I have an e bosser and a grand calibre (the GC was a cuttlebug until I put something to thick through it and it took offence to it). The only problem I have with the GC is that you cannot put the sissix big dies through. I don't have many. but the ones I do have I do use.
Hugs Sue xx

Hi Rachel, a great card design and fab use of the challenge colours. Thanks for entering the Chocolate Baroque challenge.
ReplyDeleteI am a Big Shot fan through and through, mine has lasted me for fifteen plus years of hard crafting plus running card making classes as well. I sold my Big Shot Pro, as it was just too big and heavy, using the proceeds to buy a Big Shot Plus, which is perfect, lighter, and allowing me to use the bigger dies. Everyone will have their own opinion, but for a non-electric machine, a Big Shot is a pure workhorse, allowing you to put any thickness of die through it. Hope this helps, Judith xx
