I'm running again this morning - then its off to coffee pot where I'm in charge. I made the mistake of asking if anybody had any themes they would like us to do and the theme that came back was music - well I found I didn't have much but came up with two possibilities:
This one involved using an embossing folder and a stamp set from imagination crafts. I coloured in using distress markers.
This one involved using versamark and 6 different rainbow wow powders, a spellbinders grand circle die, embossing folder and a stamp from clarity.
I'd like to enter this into the rainbow challenge over at wowembossingpowder.
Well in actual fact the ladies will make a version of the first card - my grand calibur decided to die on me - so there'll be no die cutting or embossing at class today - lol!!!! we'll manage though!
So now I'm left with the question - cut n boss or large (A4) big shot? Or maybe something else? What are your thoughts?
A few of you have asked to see my sunshine - here she is: my hot mustard fiesta ecoboost!
I hope you have a really lovely day and thanks for visiting.

ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of my BigShot (only the regular size), but I've never used anything else so I'm not much use for a comparison.

hi Rachel, fab new car, loving the colour, enjoy driving it.
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards, great colours and designs. I've got the Xcut, which I like, but if the new lage big shot had been out at the time I would have bought that one, hugs Kate x
Hi Rachel
ReplyDeleteWowee fabulous car.... Two stunning cards to ... Gorgeous...
Happy you all had a nice weekend...
Hugs Sylvie xx
Ah, the die cutting dilemma, I have just parted with my Big Shot and got an EBosser but I really miss the Big Shot now.... but I would prefer to get the new large size Big Shot, to cover all options!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both beautiful, the second one looks quite complicated! Your car is fabulous! Hugs, Anne xx
Two great cards Rachel, love the rainbow. You definitely won't lose your car in a car park, love the colour. My GC is about to go but hoping it will last until the new Spellbinder machine comes out later this year! Carol x
ReplyDeleteI especially love the butterfly and music card. What a ray of sunshine your new card is. I hope you have many years of pleasure driving it. Hugs to you all. Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards Rachel - love the rainbow of violins very much and your Sunshine looks lovely too!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping eventually to be able to get Cut N Boss but it's too expensive! I have looked at the Big Shot A4 but I had a normal Big Shot and struggled to get a lot of my dies to completely cut out very detailed dies - even with shims.
Short term I'm hoping to be able to buy a Papermania/Do Crafts X Cut Xpress machine. It's A4 in size and the depth is adjustable which means it will go low down and high up. I have several Tim Holtz Bigz dies, Cuttlebug dies, Spellbinder dies, embossing folders, and super slim laser cut dies.
I checked out the reviews for it on Hobbycraft website and it has had a lot of positive feedback. One huge bonus with it too - its £99.99 for an A4 die cutter machine and I think that's fabulous value - enjoy your new card and crafty shopping Karen x
Gorgeous cards Rachel and I LOVE your car. xx
ReplyDeleteForgot to add my vote about the die cutting, sorry. I would say the big shot plus (or even the big shot pro if you had the space). Vee xx
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards on that tricky theme Rachel and I love the look of the car! Oh, and the Big Shot gets my vote every time. My GC now sits neglected in the corner. Jenny x
