Creative Inspirations: Contemporary Christmas

Good morning all! I hope you are happy and feeling well! Thanks so much for your kind words about our Christmas tree - Lucy and Penny were well chuffed that you liked what they did!!!! Big Hugs xx

Today I'm back with a card - the new challenge over at Creative Inspirations today is Contemporary Christmas. I've been back to wor Sheena's majestic oak again - love this stamp - and this time I've done it like a negative - which to me looks kind of snowy and funky at the same time - what do you think?

The more I look at this the more I wish I'd left the snowflake off - but I still like it anyway!!! I did the tree first by stamping in versaark and adding white opaque wow powders - I also swooshed along the bottom area of the card with versa mark and added the powders there too before heat setting.  The background was made using distress inks - seedless preserves and peacock feathers. Then the card was simply mounted on simliar colours of card to the DI and I cut the snowflake with die'sire dies and bobs your uncle!!!

This week's prize for the challenge is from MY MUMS CRAFT SHOP and is a £10 GIFT CERTIFICATE!

I think they're also offering a discount code too - check the blog post here!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine: bearlymine-challengesChristmas sentiment

Off for a run at 9.30 - I did one yesterday too - it was hard going - feels like ages since I've been. Hopefully since I'm running with two other ladies it might be a little easier today!!!

Big Hugs and thanks for dropping by! Hope to see you again soon!

Hugs

  22. I like the snowflake but it is true, the stamping is so dynamic that the card didn't need embellished but I still say this is a stunning card with amazing stamping of that tree.
    Gorgeous!
