ATC swap - fairies

Hello lovelies! How are you? I hope you are well. Thanks for your comments on yesterdays LO. Today I have a set of ATCs to share with you - my fellow swappers have been showing theirs - so i thought it was time i showed my very much last minute makes!

As soon as i saw the theme i knew i had to use Lavinia stamps - I tried to create a multilayered magical scene using distress inks and stamps.

Colours don't show up so well in this one. 

I hope you like them! Looking forward to this months swap - its halloween - and mine are already made!!!

More texture at Countryview Crafts

Good morning all! I have my second piece for countryviewchallenges this month to share with you today. The theme is to use texture and this time I have used diecuts from Tim Holtz and also some words and bits and bobs to make a scrapbook page. I used a photo from my run on sep 13th from Newcastle to Gateshead.

I used the following distress inks to create the background first - mustard seed, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry. I used this in conjunction with sizzix-thinlits-die-set--mixed-media that i had used to cut shapes and then used the shapes as a layering stencil - if that makes sense?  I then added the photo and more diecuts -scribbles--splat-by-tim-holtz and -adventure-words-block-by-tim-holtz.

Just to let you know we raised over £2000. Brilliant!!!!

A card for Josie .... or not!

Hello all! How are you today? I hope you are well! I am good but regretting asking the tree men to come this morning - they have to take down part of a tree that is overhanging my garage - anyhoo - I'm wishing they weren't coming because now i won't be able to swim - and I really would like to! Lol!! Nevermind - i will just have to manage! If they're quick I might still squeeze one in!

Today i have a card I made for my niece Josie - although as it happens I haven't sent it to her - I forgot about it and now the parcel has gone winging its way to Germany! Oh well - life seems to be like that!!!

I have used two chocolate baroque stamps - the saying and the klimt panel. I first stamped in versamark and added black embossing powder.  For the top panel I repeated the process and added gold embossing powder.

I love this panel - such a fabulous stamp!!

First tag for the 12 tags of Christmas

Hello Lovelies! How are you on this fine morning? I hope you are well and if not sending you hugs and positivity. I have my first tag to share with you for the thefunkiejunkie-12-tags-of-christmas challenge which is sponsored by the thefunkiejunkie boutique. I was inspired by the poinsettias and have enjoyed using my large poinsettia die to make this.

I used the alcohol ink and metallic mixative method from tims tag last month to make the background of the tag - only I did it straight onto the tag - that was a mistake - but I did make it better by gluing a second tag to the back.

Its a size 10 tag - I cut several of the poinsettia in different shades of red card. Then i stamped on them using a TH sentiment die. I assembled them onto the tag and also cut the words - joyful memories also using dies from Tim Holtz.

The December 25 at the bottom is also from TH - from a ephemera set. 

I would also like to enter this into the craftstamper take-it-make-it-challenge-october.

Our trip to IKEA was good fun yesterday - 

we managed to pick up the missing mattress and got another cupboard to add to the room - and a rug and a desk lamp, and a toy thing - oh my!!! But it was fun! We all had a good day!!!

robins at christmas card club

Good Morning lovelies! How are you? Did you have a good Saturday? We did - we went for a swim and then up to Kendal to search for wallpaper - we managed to get some for Lucy's bedroom! Its a start - the decorator won't be starting until december so we have plenty of time to find the right papers but I do feel it takes time! Good to get started! Then we went to my mums - it was lovely to see my mum and dad! They are so lovely.

So today the theme at Christmas card club is robins - I seem to have misplaced my sheena robin stamp so I couldn't use that - so I looked through my drawers and found a sheena embossing folder that i used for one card and an indigo blu stamp that i used for the other.

Both cards have included a Clarity word chain sentiment.

This one is all an embossing folder - apart from the poinsettia - coloured with distress inks and pens. The poinsettia is from a TH die.

I stamped this one then masked the robin and used DI to make the background. Then i coloured the robin using distress pens. The main background is a layering stencil from TH with festive berries DI.

An ATC!

Hello Lovelies! How are you? I hope you are well? We are all good - I'm a bit tired after a busy week - but not too tired for a busy weekend!!! Lol! Good to be busy I think.

Just a quick post from me today - this is an ATC I made as an extra swap for Jo - I do hope you've got it already Jo - if not - look away now!!!

I used a TH butterfly die/embossing folder - the new wilted lilac colour of DI and also a stencil from dylusions.

The butterfly is mounted on a piece of garden greens die. The stamp is from Clarity.

Getting spooky

Hello Lovelies! How are you this morning? I hope you are feeling well! I can't believe its Friday again already. How does that happen - last Friday was the macmillan - I don't recall if I told you but we raised a massive £440 at school in our coffee morning - that was fabulous!

Today i have a spooky card to share with you - I've made it using chocolate baroque stamps with the current colour challenge in mind.



I love the colours - so unusual - but I think so effective.You can see the full challenge details here.

So here's my card:

I had a lot of fun making this using the new stamps from chocolate baroque last month. I stamped the lady then masked her and created the background using mustard seed, black soot and hickory smoke distress inks. I also used a stencil from dutch doobadoo. The 'fireworks' were stamped in archival black then coloured with distress pen.

The lady was coloured with the same distress inks and pens.

So I thought I would show you a picture of the bed i have been building for penny - I still have the desk drawers to build but otherwise its ready. That is except for the mattress that wasn't in the delivery! You just gotta love IKEA!!!
