Its pink at Lavinia

Good morning all! Thanks for your lovely comments on my clock - I really was unsure about it but you liked it - so thanks for that! My good friend Anne suggested painting the clock hands black - I think I may very well do that! It will definitely make them show up more clearly.

Today I have the card I've made with both the Lavinia challenge and the one over at Stamping Sensations this month. Its another bright one and very pink!

I started off with a wash of worn lipstick distress stain then used water to spritz and flick then dried it off. I used a clarity mask to create the hill shapes and used distress ink colours for the various hill layers. The plants and fairy were added next stamping in black archival and then the stars were done by stamping in versa and adding white opaque wow powders. Finally I added my penny black sentiment.

PoppyClock!

Hello Lovelies! How are you today - I'm okay but missing my Shaun - he's off in America again - but will be back soon so not too long to wait!

Todays piece \i have to confess to having trouble with - I have started it a number of times and the colours have changed and changed - I'm not totally happy with it but time has run out on this one - so I'm running with it! Let me know what you think!

I don't know if you've seen these pocket watches from the MDF man - the clock part is about 12" in diameter - so its large!

I've used a sheena douglass stamp to stamp the main picture - I've also used a cloud mask from clarity to create clouds behind the front piece and also on the front piece of the clock. This isn't showing too much but it is there! I've also used UTEE and moulds to create the butterflies and stuck them onto the back panel of the clock so they can be seen through the cut outs.

The outer part of the clock has been made textured by using a cogs stencil and texture paste. Then its been painted red and the numerals were done in a black spectrum noir pen.

Anything goes at Creative Inspirations with the option of a sketch

Hello Lovely people out there in blogland - how are you today? I'm good and feeling happy after yesterdays sunshine  - it was a wet start but nice to see blue sky and sunshine for the afternoon - I even got out and did a bit of planting - woohoo - Planted sweet peas and broad beans - I was supposed to be cleaning - lol!!!

I've used a paper shelter image and the current sketch for my card -

I've gone a bit orange with this card - but I think its good for a young girl - nice warm colours and a happy picture. I've coloured her with promarkers and cut the image with a spellbinders die. Then I made up the flowers and found the ribbon and papers and assembled - Nothing too difficult!

Spots and dots at Crafty Sentiments

Good morning to you - how are you today? I was really excited yesterday morning to discover I had been picked as a winner on the Crafty Individuals challenge blog - I love all the Crafty Individuals stamps so it was a big thrill and an honour - woo hoo! Didn't do quite so well on my trip to Kendal to get running shoes - neither myself not my friend Debbie came away with any - but I did find some later online so I hope to be running in them very soon.

There's a new challenge starting at Crafty Sentiments today - the theme is spots ans dots and this is what I did:

I used the fabulous stamp called Catwalk - the corner die is from La la land crafts and the sentiment is LOTV. I can't remember who the papers are from - sorry. The image was coloured with spectrum noirs and fussy cut.

going for gold at Indigo Blu

Hi there - how are you? I'm good but feeling tired - must have been those guides, brownies and rainbows yesterday - they've worn me out! Still it was a good thinking day and we had fun. I'm off for a run this morning too - then heading up to Kendal to get some new running shoes - exciting stuff.

I have a card to share with you today that I made for the Indigo Blu challenge this month - its called Going for Gold - I immediately thought of their sunflower stamp - so thats what I went with.

I stamped the sunflowers with versamark then heat set with gold (regular brass) WOW powders. Then I coloured the sunflowers with spectrum noir pens. I stamped the butterfly with versa and again heat set with gold. Then I fussy cut them and added to the image. I used distress ink to colour the space between the flowers then stamped the sentiment and cut out using a die.

Spring is coming at Craft a scene

Hello lovelies - how are you today? I hope you are well. If not here's a hug! We've got a busy day today - its our guiding thinking day celebration - so I'll almost have finished by the time this post goes live - church this morning followed by games, lunch and activities. With around a total of 30 rainbows, brownies and guides. Should be fun.

Today is the start of a new challenge at Craft a Scene. The theme is all about Spring and what it means to you. Please join in and if you do remember its all about using more than one stamp to create a scene.  Spring to me means being outdoors. And thinking about getting busy in the garden. I've made a birthday card for my dad who will be 80 in May - he loves his garden although increasingly finds it difficult. That doesn't stop the love though does it?

I really enjoyed making this one - it was such fun.The stamps are all sheena douglass designs from when she was at Creative Expressions. I had lots of fun masking the trees and building up the scene. I used a clarity mask to create the clouds too.

Imagination in Bloom: New challenge for Imagination Crafts

Hello lovelies - thanks so much for all of your kind comments yesterday - the meeting went well - ish. It seems my dad has mixed dementia (alzhimers and vascular) and although that means he could have had medication he won't be able to because of all of the other meds he has (due to heart condition, diabetes etc.) He was actually pleased about that as he says that he can't be doing with any more pills. So he's happy - we're optimistic and long may that last!

Anyway onto brighter things - there's a new challenge starting over at Imagination Crafts today - its titled Imagination in Bloom - really that means we're looking for floral entries. Don't forget that if  you use Imagination Crafts Products you'll be entered into a draw to win £40 worth of goodies from the site.

Here's what I did using the beautiful fuchsia stamp.

This is an MDF penpot - I painted it using acrylic paint - then I stamped the image onto all 4 sides of the pot. I then painted the leaves in acrylic paint and the flowers in silkies from Imagination Crafts.
